Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2015
just made this for company. i wanted a nice light soup before dinner. left out the chives/gr. onion as one guest doesn't care for them. used 1/4 t. of pureed ginger rather than powdered and added some grated carrot. excellent and would definitely make again.

Lemony Chicken with Artichoke Hearts

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
i always read the reviews before i try a recipe. this one had great reviews. unfortunately i found it very lemony, strong and unpleasant as i tasted it throughout. we love lemon! i cut the chicken cooking in half which was perfect. i had to add about 4 T sugar to make it not as acidic or ??? as it tasted at the beginning. it ended up ok. my guest agreed. i have 2 criteria - wud make again or wud not make again. this wud be the latter. however, i do bow to those who love this recipe.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I made this quiche and another old favorite yesterday for a luncheon with 6 friends. My old fav turned out perfectly, but this new spinach quiche did not set, even after 1 hr. The only things I changed was cutting down on the butter and using 1 tsp of garlic - that's it. I see another reviewer used half the milk and only 2 eggs. I have never had a quiche fail but this one certainly did. Don't know what happened...

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
My sister-in-law gave me this recipe years ago only she called it Triple Chocolate Cake. It is my favorite cake to make for an occasion. I have been told to rename it "Quaduple Chocolate Cake" and drizzle choc. icing over the top, but it doesn't need it!!! I get rave reviews every time.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
A quick hint for an easy way to remove cabbage leaves. Put a cabbage in the freezer for a few weeks (or just keep one in there!) When thawed, they come off very easily and are ready to roll!

Crab Quiche I

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
i have made a similar one for many years. i add some choppped shrimp and mushrooms. however, for the past few years, i have omitted the crust for fewer calories and also, sometimes when you feel like whipping up a quiche, you don't always have a pie crust. i also do half and half swiss and cheddar. it's a keeper.

Savory Onion Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Excellent and easy. Made it to have with clam chowder. I added thyme and savory. Next time I will add some onion powder and garlic powder for a variation. Will definitely make to have with salads and soups.
