Indonesian Satay

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
Peanut sauce needs less water (try 1/2 cup next time) and a few dashes of curry powder to give the sauce a nice undertone. Otherwise, very good recipe!

Southwestern Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
This is delicious--great blend of flavors. For those of you who like a lot of oil/vinaigrette in a pasta salad, you probably won't like this recipe. There is virtually no oil/dressing laying in the bottom of the bowl. The flavors are GREAT. I made it the night before the refrigerated ate, tasting it a few times along the way for salt. I bought fresh bi-color corn, cooked it, and sliced it off the cob. And I used organic heirloom tomatoes. And I doubled the recipe since I took it to a picnic. Will make again!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
I usually make a more savory pulled pork recipe but wanted to try this because my niece doesn't like anything spicy. I used Sprecher regular root beer and cut up a few Vidalia onions and a 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke and cooked on HIGH in the crock pot for 6 hours. I drained it, shredded it, and returned it to crock pot and mixed it with lots of Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ sauce and a little of the leftover root beer liquid (that I boiled on the stovetop). This was a very good recipe. Definitely on the sweeter side but in NO WAY does this have an overwhelming root beer flavor like some other people are stating.

Corn Dip

Good. But it's one of those recipes that I could only eat a few bites of and then I was decidedly done with it.

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
AWESOME recipe and very easy. The only change I made is I omitted the salt. I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and cooked the brisket for 10 hours on low and it came out fork tender and simply delicious. We will definitely make this again!

Rosemary Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
I added more rosemary to the recipe but hands down this is a great recipe. Perfectly roasted and delicious. I did stir the potatoes midway through the baking process to ensure an even coating of olive oil.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
Everyone loved the flavor. It was custardy in texture. I let the French toast REST for about 15 minutes when I took it out of the oven and it seemed to absorb some of the excess liquid. Next time I may try to cut down the milk/half and half by just a little bit and see what it does. This french toast is delicious when served with the Cinnamon honey butter recipe found on AllRecipes and with a good-quality maple syrup.
