Excellent! Everyone loved it and requested the recipe. I ended up using 25 ice cream bars. Thanks for the recipe.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2002
DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! I loved this--can you tell? I used some kind of pineapple peach? salsa (Safeway Select Brand), Pepper Jack Cheese, Cheddar Cheese and sour cream. It was awesome! Thanks for the recipe!

Southern Praline Pecan Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2002
This was the best cake ever! I made the following modifications: used butter yellow cake mix because I couldn't find butter pecan, substitued walnuts instead of pecans, made in a 9x13 pan and baked for the same amount of time, and topped with the coconut pecan frosting. It was so good. Even my picky sister, who hates coconut, liked it. Of course she scraped off the frosting because she doesn't like coconut so after she finished eating it and commented on how good it was, I told her that there was coconut in the cake. She didn't even know.

Bran Muffins with Coffee

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2002
I didn't care for these very much. The flavoring was good for bran muffins but mine turned out really dry. I wonder if they would have been more moist if oil was used instead of butter. My 1 and 3 year old kids liked them though.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2002
These were excellent. They had a very rich taste and were very easy. I will be making these again specially for family dinners where I don't want to fool with mashing potatoes at the last minute.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2002
This was very good. I might have cooked my chicken a little too long though. I substituted milk for the water called for in the gravy to make it a little richer.

Farmer's Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2002
This was really good. My husband absolutely loved it! He almost ate the whole thing by himself. The only thing that I would do differently the next time I make it would be to substitute half of the Pepper Jack Cheese with Cheddar Cheese and maybe add more seasonings like garlic powder and oregano.

Three words--I LOVED IT! This is an excellent recipe! My husband loved it and couldn't stop eating it. I will be making this recipe a lot. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Bird's Nests III

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2002
These turned out really cute. They were a little sticky to work with but became easier to handle as they set up. My three year old daughter loved filling the nests with Whopper "Robin Eggs" and a marshmallow chick on top.

Easy Dump Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2002
This was excellent! I didn't have a bundt pan so I used a 9x13 pan and baked it for the same amount of time. I also didn't have enough chocolate chips so I added a few peanut butter chips. It turned out great! We put Cool Whip on top and it was superb! Thanks for the WONDERFUL recipe--I will be using it a lot!!!

Lobster de Jonghe

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2002
This was pretty good--I loved the topping! Next time I make it I think I'll cut down on the amount of melted butter that's poured over the lobster. I'm also going to try adding a little bit of garlic powder to the melted butter.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2002
I made the following modifications: cut up the chicken breasts, used chicken broth instead of water, used half an onion instead of a whole, added frozen mixed veggies and only used 1 can of biscuits. I was confused about how much water (chicken stock) to use so I added enough to fill the crockpot to within 1 inch from the top. I think that was too much because it was very runny. I ended up adding a lot of cornstarch and water to thicken the broth before adding the biscuits. I could also tell it was too much water because after the biscuits cooked, they expanded all the way to the top of the lid. But this recipe turned out really good and my family enjoyed it. The chicken was very tender and juicy. I will make this again. Thanks for the recipe!

Orange Cream Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2002
I tried these cookies right after making them and I didn't think they were that great. I tried them the next day, and for some reason, they tasted better. The cookies were okay but I probably won't make them again--I'm not a huge fan of orange and white chocolate.

Skillet Ham, Cabbage and Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2002
I loved this recipe. I had a huge bag of shredded cabbage to use so it worked out perfect. I was kind of confused about how much water to add so I just kept adding it, as needed, in order to steam the vegetables (but not too much so it didn't turn into soup). I did modify the spices a little by using garlic salt, garlic powder, salt, pepper, oregano and basil instead of what's called for in the recipe. My 3 year old daughter didn't even know she was eating cabbage!

Baked Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2002
I might have cooked mine too long (about 5 hours) because it turned out pretty dry. The ham did have a really good flavor to it; kind of sweet tasting. Next time I will try cooking the ham for 4 hours and see if that makes a difference.

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2002
My husband made this around noon and we had some for dessert that night and I thought it was "pretty good". Well then we had some the next day and it was "absolutely delicious!" I would recommend making this dessert the day before because it really does taste better after it sits for awhile. I would also recommend putting more frosting on top. Thanks for the delicious and very easy recipe.

Banana Boats

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2002
These are great! The first time I made them I wrapped my tin foil too tightly around the banana and ended up with most of my marshmallows and chocolate sticking to the tin foil. The next time I made them, I made a loose pouch out of the aluminum foil and it turned out a lot better.

Peanut Butter Candy Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2002
These were pretty good. I didn't have the right size of pan as called for in the recipe so I used a 9x13 inch pan. I ended up with a whole bunch of the peanut butter mixture left over but didn't have extra chocolate left over. Other than that, they do taste a lot like a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup.

Sweet Pretzel Stacks

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2002
I was a little disappointed in how this recipe turned out. The pretzels turned out tasting really stale (I was expecting them to be crunchy) after mixing in the chocolate mixture. Maybe it was because I used the pretzels sticks instead of regular pretzels or maybe that's the way they are suppose to be. I think I will try this recipe one more time and use the regular pretzels and see if that makes a difference.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2002
I'm not much of a coffee cake lover but I had a huge tub of sour cream to use up so I thought I would try out this recipe. It was really good. I drizzled a little cream cheese frosting on the top for an extra touch.
