For Christmas Eve this year I did my first standing rib and it was awesome to say the least. I was just afraid to try doing one.
My cooking tragedies
Don't try boiling eggs for 3 hours as it just don't work. I put them on the burner and went out to the garage, My wife came home work and found the mess. Also don't forget to put cuts in the potatoes before putting them into the oven.
