Delicious Tangy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
Not the dish for me. Tangy doesn't exactly mean savory.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2012
A good chili. There wasn't a wow factor for me though. I think I was wanting something chunkier. I missed the stewed tomato chunks that chili often has and this recipe needed some chili powder for a kick, not just the chili seasoning.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
A very rich, delicious and classic chicken recipe. The butter and cheese make it so rich, even though it tastes heavenly I could never eat more than one. My advice would be cook what you need for that meal, and no more. I don't believe the bread crumbs would reheat well and this is probably best served as a treat rather than as a regular dish. I cut the servings down to 2, per another reviewer, and the measurements worked perfect. Another reviewer also suggested lightly lining the bottom of the pan with breadcrumbs to keep the chicken from becoming soggy; I thought that worked well also.

Vegetarian Lime Orzo

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
A decent side dish but not as spectacular as I was expecting. Probably won't make again because all the chopping/shredding was time consuming and I felt like I was just eating rice-a-roni at the end.

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: May 17, 2012
Just tried this recipe on a whim and the butter cooked away so fast that the garlic started to burn. Left a burnt taste on the asparagus too. I added some salt, pepper, and parmesan like others suggested, and that helped to cover the taste, but I would say go with an olive oil next time to avoid the burning.

Cinnamon Hazelnut Biscotti

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
What a wonderful recipe! It was so user friendly and easy! This was my first time making biscotti and I was so nervous because I've heard it's difficult to do well. These turned out perfect though! The perfect recipe for someone who has never made biscotti before. I'll never try another.

Mom's Warm Milk

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
I thought I had nutmeg but discovered I was out when I went to make this, so I used cinnamon instead. Cinnamon doesn't dissolve very well, but it still tastes great. I love this drink! I can't wait to try it the right way!

Cheese's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
Very tasty. A classic mac and cheese that is creamy, not dried out. I will use less onion next time and maybe add some garlic instead.

Sunday Morning Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
Pancakes are not my favorite meal but they're nice to make when company is around. These were easy to make, very fluffy, and had a nice light flavor. More of a personal preference of mine is why I only give it 3 stars. For others who really like pancakes, this is a great and easy way to mix things up.

Valentino's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
This was a good crust especially because of the ease and little time it required. It was very fluffy and soft, not a good choice for those who like a crispy crust.

Sweet Pepper Rice

Very yummy. Made it as a side dish to a grilled sausage. The flavors went well together.

Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
Easy to make but needed quite a long time in the crockpot to cook all the way through. Some of mine were cold when I served them. I'd use an oven as my first preference unless it's the middle of summer.

Gypsy Soup

Delicious. The first few bites weren't that impressive, but by the end of the bowl I wanted more! The flavors blend so well together. A great cold-weather soup.

Oven Baked Garlic and Parmesan Fries

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
Very delicious! I made a lot of these layered on top of each other in a pan. Not crunchy, but still great flavor. I want to try spreading them out too.

Italian Peas

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
I'm not sure if I cooked this wrong and that's why I was unimpressed, but I really didn't think they tasted much different than a regular bag of peas without the onions or garlic. I didn't use fresh garlic though, I used already minced from a jar. Maybe that made a difference. I'd rather just make normal peas and use some salt, pepper and butter.

Blonde Brownies IV

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
Not a bad recipe just not what I expected. The consistency was like a banana bread, just without the flavor. I made a chocolate sauce and made marble brownies instead of using the chips, but I wish I would have used the chips instead just for more flavor. More like a thick cake than a chewy brownie.

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
This was delicious. I used boneless pork and cooked it at 350 for half an hour and it still turned out amazing. The meat was tender and juicy with amazing flavor! There was a lot of extra bread crumbs though, those portions could be cut in half. I just threw my extra in a bag in the freezer for next time.

Johnsonville Zesty Italian Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
Easy to make and tasty but not anything interesting. I wish the sauce would have turned out thicker, it was a little too soupy. A nice alternative to spaghetti though.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
The sauce looked too soupy at first but after adding the parmesan cheese it was perfect. Very delicious and satisfying. I'd recommend going light on the spice if you're not a fan of spicy. Otherwise, make it just like she says!
