Broiled Chicken Breasts with Herbs, Carrots, and Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This was FANTASTIC! Normally I don't keep cloves in the house, or sage. Asked my husband to pick them up on the way home. So glad I did! Everyone raved about this. Added yellow and red pepper strips to the carrots. Used leftover small cooked red and white potatoes, just added them in at the first turning. Based on comments, I was worried about it drying out. But, without lemon juice in the house, I put a small glob of margarine atop each breast and everything turned out perfect! Fabulous! Will definitely make again, and sooo pleased to have chicken done so quickly!!!

Irish-Style Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
WOW! I grabbed this recipe just trying to mix up my usual routine. Figured lamb would be a nice switch. I put it in the crockpot and headed to work. My husband sent me a text: "stew's AWESOME!". My daughter and her friend asked for seconds! I had mine after work and the lamb was so tender and yummy!!!!! Two thumbs up:)

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Pork chops are usually pretty boring at my house. My family rolls their eyes when they know I've got some thawing. NO MORE! This was great! Browned them first with pepper, garlic and onion powders and baked for 30 minutes instead. YUM:) Thank you!!!!

Amazing Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
There are certain things I cook in this house, and certain things my husband cooks. He confessed he was a little nervous when he saw the ribs out thawing. He and our daughter LOVED these ribs! I skipped the grilling part since the BBQ never starts for me and I put them in a roasting pan with Hickory BBQ sauce and a bit of Jack Daniel's. Thumbs up!

Good! Moist and tender, just how we like:) No lemons in the house, used lemon juice instead. Served with sweet potato fries and roasted zucchini. Will definitely make again!

Whole Wheat Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Never made these before - will definitely make the Christmas cookie list this year:) Tried them out, as a friend requested SOFT ginger snaps as a birthday gift. (I always make people their fave cookie for their birthday.) The dough was a royal pain in the neck, though. Followed the recipe to a T up until I started working with the dough. Ended up adding another 1/4 cup of flour. Wish I'd known I needed to chill the dough first because I really didn't have time for that. However, they're a hit at home, and with my birthday friend!!

Shrimp Salad with Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Was good... Managed to convince 3 12 year olds to eat it with me, and they cleaned their plates! Added slivered almonds, and used spinach instead of Bibb. Will make again.
