Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
These are VERY GOOD. A perfect ginger snap cookie, better than the store.

Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Beef

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
I didn't have the green pepper and I did make a few changes according to the other comments. I added 1/4 cup of red wine, 1 bay leaf, about 3 tsp. of sugar, 1 tsp. red pepper flakes, 1 tsp. garlic powder, and probably doubled the oregano and basil. Will make again.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
Oh yeah this was excellent. Didn't do the foil balls thing, just put onions and carrots under the chicken, sprinkled with paprika, thyme, salt and pepper and left it on low for about 10 hours. Turned out amazing fall off the bone chicken. Served over brown rice.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011
This was SOOOO GOOD!! My only complaint is that the sauce needs to be doubled. It is not hard to make and looks and tastes gourmet. Definitely something to make for guests and definitely will make again. I served it over whole wheat spaghetti (angel hair would probably have been better) and red wine.

Pan Seared Lemon Tilapia with Parmesan Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
The fish was realllllly good, but I didn't care for the pasta - dry and bland. I will probably make the fish again, but with some other pasta recipe.

Salmon Cakes II

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
These were awesome! Instead of an onion I used onion powder, because I didn't want pieces of onion in it, and it turned out fine. Also used dried parsley instead of fresh. Also didn't use any butter, just olive oil. And I followed others suggestions and dusted with parmesan cheese instead of flour. I doubled the recipe and came out with about 12 patties. Served with aoili sauce, mashed potatoes, and salad. Husband LOVED IT! Will be making this again and again.

Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
This was pretty bland and dry. Not at all like authentic sesame chicken, but maybe that's because it's not deep fried and covered in MSG. I would make this again for myself but not my husband who likes big "manly" meals. I didn't have snow peas so I made this with broccoli and bean sprouts, and put over brown rice. Next time will double sesame seeds.

Pecan Noodle Kugel

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
This was a BIG HIT at my table for Shabbat lunch. The pecan and brown sugar topping was soooo good, and it looked beautiful. A great side dish to put on the table when having guests.

Wrapped Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
This was excellent. I followed the suggestion of making the sauce out of 2 Tbsp dijon mustard, 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, and a pinch of onion powder, which was far better than plain dijon would have been. Otherwise, it was delicious and will make again and again.

Delicious Stuffed Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I enjoyed this very much. It could use some more salt though. I followed others suggestions about the meat - I made the meat mixture and then sauteed it, then followed the rest of the instructions. Came out delish.

Spanish Moroccan Fish

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
Oh this was soooooooo good. I did everything according to the recipe except for the olives just because I don't like them. I cut the recipe in half but there was still A LOT left over. I thought it was perfect but husband said he wanted more spice.

Almond-Crusted Tilapia

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
This was very good. I didn't have almonds so I used crushed walnuts, but I'm sure if I used almonds it would have been even better.

Smoked Salmon Vodka Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
This was very nice. My husband loved it. I love creamy tomato pasta sauces, and this one is definitely a keeper. I put it on top of whole wheat spaghetti and served with garlic bread.

Garlic Broccoli

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
This was good but I would leave out the red pepper flakes next time. Also I sauteed all the ingredients and then added the broccoli, and cooked it all together.

Tangy Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
I was really worried about the way this tasted when I tasted a piece of chicken from the pan, but after it cooked a little longer it turned out delicious! It did taste too much like vinegar in the beginning, but I cooked it for about 20 minutes so that vinegar taste went away and the chicken was lovely. Served it in tortillas with rice, tomatoes and beans.

This was very good, but I left out the butter altogether and it was still delicious. Will add more curry next time.

Indian Chicken Curry I

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
This was good, except I wasn't crazy about the clove flavor. Next time I may leave it out or use less. All the spices I used were dried. Also when I tasted it after it has been simmering for a while, I decided it needed more curry, and a lot more coconut milk and salt, and I also added chick peas. Also I felt like it needed more color.. so next time I would try adding carrots and maybe peas. Husband liked this a lot though.

This was good, but definitely needs some tweaks. Next time I would add garlic and potatoes, and more chicken and carrots. Maybe some lentils.

Slammin' Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
This was exxxxxcellent. I make salmon very often, but husband said this was the best salmon I've ever made. I needed to come up with dinner quickly and didn't have time to marinate it at all - I simply threw all the ingredients on the salmon and baked it for about 15 minutes. Next time I will plan ahead and marinate.
