Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
Great! I used coconut oil instead, it was all I had on hand but it was wonderful! We always have so much kale around the house from our local CSA so I'm excited to have a great use for it!

Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
Great dressing! Good coloring with an Asian taste to it! I decreased the sugar to 1/2 Tbl and increased the honey to 4 Tbl for my personal taste.

My boyfriend's favorite candy is Reeses Pieces, so this was at the top of my list to make for him. Great cookies, very brownie-like. Will make again.

Festive Shortbread Logs

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Simply put- YUM. Time consuming but worth it! My only issue was that all of my 'logs' turned out into a shape more resembling a puddle, and were very thin around the edges. I believe I may have worked the dough while it was too warm. I might chill the dough for 30 minutes or so before working with it next time. So-5 stars from me, seeing as my issue was most likey user error. ;)

Christmas Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Dough was easy to roll and cut shapes out of. With the 'clippings' I rolled them into 1-inch balls and pressed them into sugar and various other toppings, including crushed peppermint candy canes. I used mini cookie cutters and 12 minutes was definately long enough for my first sheet in the oven! I dropped it down to 9 minutes with better chewy cookie success. I went along someone elses review and doubled (not quadropled) the dry spices. Very tasty. GREAT alternative to gingerbread Christmas cookies Deborah!

Neapolitan Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Very easy to make and very yummy! I only had red food coloring with a pour-spout, and let me tell you, 1 tsp is not equal to 6 drops! My 'pink' dough batch turned out red, but luckily lightened a little in the oven. I'll be sure to make these again, possibly using a red, white and green (with mint flavor and green food coloring) next Christmas and blue food coloring for Fourth of July. Overall-great recipe Jan!

Tommy's Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Edited this recipe to accommodate leftovers from Thanksgiving. I took out the can of milk and can of mushroom soup and instead used about 2 1/2 cups of mashed sweet potatoes with butternut squash . I also added a can of corn and 3 stalks chopped celery. Followed everything else-GREAT for leftover ham!
