Crispy Cheese Twists

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
This was a fast easy recipe to make. The taste was good. The pepper added a little pep to the breadsticks. Some of the breadsticks that didn't get as much pepper were blander. Of course, my kids (8 and 6) needed sauce for dipping. I bought Pillsbury twisted breadsticks and added the seasoning to those-saved time rolling out dough. I also read other reviews and saw some were having a problem with the sticking. I sprayed my pans with a little non-stick spray and it helped. The cheese still stuck a little, but non of my breadsticks were destroyed or unservable. Also because I used the Pillsbury dough it was hard to flip them and do the other side. For the first batch, I simply used the egg mixture on one side, sprinkled the cheese and twisted. Once they were on the pan I sprinkled some cheese on the parts that were bare. For the second batch I picked up the breadstick dipped it in the cheese and seasoning mix then twisted and put on the pan. Both ways worked fine for me.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
This was a great recipe and I didn't change any of the ingredients. The only problem I ran into was that I didn't have a mini-muffin pan like the recipe called for, so I read some reviews and saw that some people used a cookie sheet and others used a regular muffin pan. I tried both. The batch with the cookie sheets came out flat, but still tasted great. The regular sized muffin pan came out more like a cupcake. These were SO good, but some of the fuller cups needs a tad more cooking time.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
I took this to a book club meeting and everyone loved it. Some may find it mushy. If you like your French toast mushy, you will like this. If you like your French toast a little crisper you may not like the texture. The only thing I did different in the recipe was to let the bread sit in the egg mixture a little longer. I only did this because I wanted to grab it out of the oven and run out the door with it hot. So, I let it sit for a little longer until I was ready to put it in the oven.

Cookie Jar Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Good recipe, and the cookies taste great. Only problem I had was either I rolled the cookies out too thin or my oven was too hot (I am living in Europe and the oven is in Celsius and I can't set the dial to the exact temp, so I have to guess). The first batch browned super quick and the rest did not need 10-12 min. to cook. I left them in for more like 5 min.

Beefy Pasta Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
I try not to mess with a recipe too much the first time around, but this one seemed like it would be bland. So I added garlic and a variety of seasonings. I was also out of cheddar cheese, so I ended up using velveeta instead. After it was finished I tasted it. Completely bland. I broke down and added some spaghetti sauce. The recipe is easy and isn't bad, just very bland. You might as well save yourself the time and just use spaghetti sauce and mozzerella cheese from the beginning.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
The flavor was good, but nothing out of this world. I used milk instead of water like many reviewers suggested. I also didn't measure the cheese, but know I put more in then the 1 cup the recipe called for. It could've used more ham. My main problem was the potatoes did not get done in 4 hours. After 5 hours, they still were not done. I took them out of the crock pot, and transferred them to my oven. After another 1/2 hour they were finally done. I thought I cut the potatoes thin enough, but maybe not.
