Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
I would say that this is a really good meatloaf recipe. For tomates all I had was spicy Rotell tomates with green chilis and it added a zing to the meatloaf which I loved. My picky family loved it. My 14 mo old scarfed it down in seconds wanting more, my picky 4 yr old said it was too spicy (but that isn't what the recipe calls for) and my husband liked it. Will make again normal LOved it thanks!

Bar-B-Que Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2004
I used this as a guideline for make my own sauce. Here is what I changed: Ommited the vinegar and mustard powder. Added liqud smoke. Just a dash or two. This is one of those recipes that I have made a TON of time and now I don't measure stuff out. Play with it. But everytime I make it I get request for more!

Blackberry Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2004
I think this recipe is pretty good. I made it the first time following the recipe to a t but added fresh rasberrys to it along with the blackberries. That didn't taste so good, then the second time I did everything the same except i ommited the flour to the mixture (I found that it sucked up all the juices)and didn't sprinkle sugar on top and then it came out good. Thanks for sharing. Will make it again.

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2004
I must say I had to read A LOT of the reviews before I decided to make this. it has such an odd mix of things but all in all it was good! I would NOT say its easy to make, the bean mixture was too soupy so when I put in the tortilla it ran all over and I couldn't fold it like a buritto. I would say do 1/2 cup water at the very most. You can tell when you are putting the water in how soupy it is. Other then that I would say its really good! Packed with lots of fiber and vitiams.

Green Chili Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2004
OK I made this into my "own" recipe but used this one as a guideline. Instead of using beef I did pork cubes so therefore I ommitted the broth. I would reccommend using about a cup of water instead. I did not use the cucim but that was because I don't care for it. I chopped two small jalapeno's and browned them with the onion and meat. I DID NOT add the potatoes. Instead of using the canned chili's I chopped fresh, about one dozen. After browing the meat and onions and jalapeno's I mixed everything in the crockpot on low for as long as I needed. It is a very good recipe! Thanks Lynn!

Banana Oatmeal Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
You know these were made to go on a assorted holiday cookie plate for a gift and I didn't give it to them. Reason being I thought the texture was too strange. It was a really soft cookie and it just tasted strange. It wasn't terrible but a few is enough.

Jalapeno Chicken

We thought this was terrible. Didn't like the cimmomon in it, the sauce was pretty good. I could see using it with something else in chicken, but we won't be making it again.

Ham and Pineapple Dinner

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2003
This was great and EASY! I chopped the ham ahead of time and froze it which cut down on my time. I used 2 20oz cans of pineapple. Using both of the cans for juice made the required ammount and then I used one can for in the dish and put the other can in the fridge to eat later. I liked having more pineapple in the dish. But my toddler liked and it and I liked the sweet taste to it. I served with rolls and a vegatable..Great job! LOved it.

Southern Living Magazine's Chicken-Fried Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2003
Very good. I will use bread crumbs instead of crackers crumsb next time and leave out the red pepper. But it makes a ton of gravey and I liked that.
