Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Wow! delicious, succulent, flavorful. I used one large chicken breast cut in half, and then halved all of the ingredients. I didn't modify their proportions, just exactly half of everything. I cooked it in my VERY small crock pot for about 3 hours. Fabulous!

Glazed Corned Beef

The only modification I made was to boil the CB first. My husband couldn't imagine eating corned beef any way other than between two pieces of bread - he was thoroughly impressed with this recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

This was delicious EXACTLY as written. Many previous reviewers didn't believe that it could be cooked with only butter for hours but it was amazing and the gravy becomes much thicker by only cooking it on high for the last half-hour. Don't change it! I also tried this on the stove-top as I realized I hadn't prepared enough for the number of people coming over. I did things in the same order (chicken, butter & Ital mix first, then cream cheese/soup mixture) and it also turned out great, though the gravy wasn't quite as thick. I then mixed both batches together. This is a nice alternative if you forget to start it in time and still want to serve this delicious dish!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

This is such a smooth batter and absolutely delicious. My husband is not a fan of desserts, but he walked out of his home office drawn by the smell of these cupcakes. He ate one and offered to help with more! I didn't try the frosting as I had my own already prepared. (it's why I was making the cupcakes!)

Death By Chocolate V

It was a tasty cake, and chocolatey. Fairly easy to make (I didn't have the best sifter for the dry ingredients.) Given that it was made with sour cream, I expected it to be more moist than it was. I felt like I could taste the flour almost more than the chocolate.

Home-Made Cream of Chicken Soup

Good substitute for canned soup. (especially in Central Asia where I can't get it!)I added more flour later, next time I would probably make it with 1-2 more tablespoons of flour from the start (and maybe another tablespoon of oil?) to make it the consistency of the condensed soup. substituted half of milk with chicken broth, didn't use garlic, salt or sugar. It was nice and thick, but half the recipe was not quite 2 cans-worth of soup.

Corny Corn Bread

I made this recipe overseas where I couldn't get cornmeal. I substituted a local porridge grain. It was so delicious, the ingredients were basic and are often in my kitchen. My friends raved about the taste of the recipe. I found it to be one of the most moist corn breads I have ever made!

Roasted Beets 'n' Sweets

I really liked this recipe and the fact that it is from fresh, natural ingredients - not boxed or canned! I would probably roast the beets about 10-15 minutes longer than suggested so that they are as soft as the sweet potatoes.

Suzanne's Spinach Quiche

This was tasty. I also made it without the crust, with an extra egg and it stayed together nicely. I agree that it could use some seasoning. I tried savory but either not enough or it wasn't the right seasoning. I'll definitely fix this again.
