Famous Pork Chops

Finally! A recipe that stands up to its review! SOOOO yummy.Everybody LOVED it and it was easy to make and easy to remember the recipe (I hate always having to re-look it up) I did flip them twords the end to get that crunchy texture on both sides. This will added to the list of regular dinners in this house.

Mexican Rice II

I cannot cook rice to save my life. I didn't expect this trail to be much different and I was not let down. When the 25 min was up my rice was soggy and there was too much water left. I had to crank up the temp to evaporate the rest of the water. The rice was OK at best. Edible? Yes. Would I make it again? maybe, maybe not. Ok, so I tried it again. This time I turned up the heat while it was simmering and it came out perfect. I think I have made this 3 times now. Just took a little tweaking On my part.

Chicago Dip

Great dip. I used creamed spinich and didn't need to drain any liquid since it was creamed. I also added a few shakes of garlic salt and onion powder. I didn't like the way it tasted with the bread, but it was excellent with ruffles chips. I will use this recipie in the future.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

I thought this recipie was pretty good. I had to use pumpkin pie mix and it came out fine. I did cook it in the water bath that others reviewers has suggested and only had one small crack on the top. I did for some reasons have to cook it almost an hour. I would make this again.

Japanese Chicken Wings

I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but it was not as good as I thought it would be. The sauce was good, but I didn't like the uncrispy skin and it was very messy. I will not be making this again. To much work for the outcome.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

The pork came out so tender and moist. I put it in still frozen and cooked it on low for 8 hours. I served it with wild rice and broccoli and all the flavors worked wonderfully together. This is a recipe I will use again. So simple, yet, so delicious.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

This is the first time I have made biscuits from scratch. To be honest, I was not expecting them to come out as good as they did. We had great time making them (loads of laughing at the fact we felt like idiots because we have to look at the recipie every minute). They were so yummy, and fun to make. This recipie gets an "A" in our house!

Salisbury Steak

Very good, a little salty, but still good. I cooked two paties alone, without the sauce and one of my two picky little ones liked it, which is rare. Cooked the rest as the recipie stated, all thumbs up. Would make again.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

I did not like this so much, too sweet if I remember right. I enjoy the taste of beef and felt the beef was overpowered by the brown sugar. Also, something about the texture did not appeal to me. Not gross, not good. I ate it, but will not make it again.

Beef Enchiladas II

I thought they were good, but not wow. My son felt the same way. My teenage daughter love them.I used canned sauce which works just as well and it's one less step. I suprisingly enjoyed the flour tortillas, I now prefer it to corn. I think this is a wonderful starter recipie. I will make it again, but maybe try some taco seasoning in the meat.

I enjoyed this soup. I left out the onions for my son. It was very quick and easy to make. I personally like a little saltier flavor, so I will add salt next time and maybe more veggies, like celery. I added the cilantro in while it was cooking and I added avacado to it right before I eat it. I will make it again!
