Pear Honey

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
A good starter recipe for pear honey. The consistancy was right on. My pears should have ripened a few more days and it would have been much better, but that is my fault so I still gave it 5 stars.

Pumpkin Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
Great way to make pumpkin butter. I will adjust the seasonings next time to our taste, but otherwise it turned out perfect. After sone research I found that you can can this in a hot water bath. Process quarts 40 minutes.

Round Steak Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
Originally made this because I just so happened to have all the ingredients on hand and expected this to be a one time meal. Everyone really liked it and the leftovers even were eaten today. This recipe has been added to the "do-again" recipes. Thanks for sharing!

Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
Great for a house full of teenagers and little kids both. I didn't have cresent rolls on hand but did have pizza dough....still turned out great, just had to bake longer. For the older crowd I added onions, mushrooms and peppers.

Marinated, Breaded Lamb Chops with Rosemary and Garlic

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
Made these tonight and they were ok. I think the problem was the chops we had (gamey), not the recipe. Had no problem with them getting crisp, but I put the pan in the oven as it preheated, then added the chops once the oven was ready. I used half the Worcestershire as several other people suggested.

Baked Stuffed Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
Made these tonight & they were wonderful!! The recipe is perfect as is and is also a great jumping off place if you want to change it up. We had hollow tomatoes from the garden, so I did have to sacrifice the pulp from a regular tomatoe for the recipe.

Cuban Shredded Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
Everyone liked this recipe. I used a tenderloin, but will use a fattier cut of pork next time so that it will break down more, absorb more flavor, and get crispier. To make this a complete meal you really should serve it with Yellow (saffron) rice and black beans.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
Ok, so it isn't exactly the healthiest meal....It still has great flavor and is easy to make. I did double up on the artichoke hearts and left out the capers, but that was just personal taste. The servings say 6, but it fed 6 and there was still more left over. I recommend adding the butter to the sauce in smaller chunks than 1 tbs at a time to help keep the sauce from breaking.

Parmesan and Basil Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
It was mixed reviews here and I think it always came down to the basil. Seeing as that can be tweeked to taste, the consistancy was still good the next day, & the ease of making it...I would recomend it.

Bolognese Stuffed Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
A do again and again! There was not one single complaint in this family of 4. Recipe made exactly 6 large peppers. The only things I did different from the recipe was... 1.)Blanched the peppers for 3 minutes. Next time I will blanch 4 minutes. 2) Added diced mushrooms and red onion. I had some that needed to be used up but this recipe would be great without them too.

Easy Strawberry Lemonade

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
Went over great! 2nd time I mashed the strawberries before adding. Everytime after that we pureed the strawberries and added Fruit Fresh to them the day before. The day of, the strawberry puree was in a bottle for everyone to add to their own like (If you pre-ad it seperates). We have also tried this with raspberries and both are equally great. Use the frozen berries as garnish if you want, but the lemonade won't last long enough for them to thaw. :)

Sara's Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
We used this recipe for a Relay For Life booth along 2 other iced coffee recipes from this site. It started out strong, but people said it tasted like bottled from a gas station and didn't have good flavor. There were no repeat customers for this one. :( I am not a coffee drinker, so based this off of the customers.

Watermelon Lemonade

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
Wonderful!!!! Even the people that thought it didn't sound good LOVED it! Instead of making the syrup I deseeded & then pureed the watermellon, then added it straight. Checking the sweetness of the watermellon is a must. If it sets overnight you need to remember to stir because it will seperate. We also tried this with fresh peaches and that was a great twist too!
