Although I agree that the texture of these waffles is excellent for a "healthy" waffle that uses whole wheat flour and omits butter, it still lacks a bit in the flavor arena, for my personal taste. I still think it is a good recipe, but wiil likely add an extra tsp of vanilla and substitute 2-3 tblspn of brown sugar for the white sugar next time.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

I agree with the reviewer who encouraged folks to not mess with this recipe... while I also get the impulse to be more creative, this is a an awesome basic pancake recipe! Don't over-mix when you combine the wet/dry ingredients, and you'll end up with fluffy pancakes that have just the right balance of buttery, salty, and sweet flavors.

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Delicious! To add a little variety, I added cooled sauteed mushrooms (to cut back on the watery factor while cooking) & cooked bacon pieces (to cut back on the greasiness factor) into the ground meat mixture. So yummy. And to make it a little more grill-friendly, I always toss my formed patties in the freezer between 2 sheets of wax paper for about half and hour or so before grilling to help them set-up and stay together on those hot summer days.

Fruit Salsa

I was a little puzzled at how the ingredients would come together at first, but received such rave reviews! It's just the right amount of sweet + kick to make for a refreshiing variation on the old, overdone salsa standard. This is a great summer salsa recipe that will be sure to break the mold at your picnics and parties... It's also easy and quick, to boot!
