Butternut Squash Soup II

Amazing soup, I absolutely love it! Someonetimes I change potato with carrots, or sometimes leave it out completely. This soup is one of my favorites.

Lamingtons

I was living in Australia and loved Lamingtons. Now back in US and decided to try out. Following this recipe was very easy, however, my sponge cake grow so huge (4 tsp baking powder, really? All other recipes says only 2 tsp!) Cutting cake was also really hard, it was crumbling all over and pieces of cakes were left in chocolate icing. Worst part - it does not taste like Lamingtons at all! It just tastes plain and.. wrong.

Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf

I was so excited about this recipe, I did all as required and baked for 50 minutes but it wasnt ready. I baked even more - for 1 hour in total, the sides are brown but inside seems too raw and sticky, also it tastes really dry and too sour. I also put only 30 gr of poppy seeds but it still seems too much. I wont make it again.

Chewy Coconut Cookies

I'm a big cookie fan and I love coconut. I was so excited to try this recipe. However, I think it could be more coconut used (it had very small taste of coconut, almost none). Also they did not become flat, stayed pretty round, I had to squeeze them to look like cookies. Mine were not ready in the middle so had to bake more until they bacame too hard. The 2nd time I made them smaller - they were chewy. Will definately make it again, will add some coconut or lemon extract instead of vanila.
