Easiest, Most Delicious Meringue Buttercream

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD! I was worried when it started to curdle, but i kept mixing it and it came together beautifully. It's a nice sturdy buttercream that frosts and pipes really well and it tastes absolutely amazing.

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
This is o so yummy! It's so light and airy, I love it. However, I did make a couple modifications. First, I left out 1/2 cup of sugar when adding sugar to the egg whites; I don't like my cakes too sweet. Second, I didn't have any lemon zest on hand so I used a 1 1/2 Tbsp of lemon extract. This makes a nice a lemony cake!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
This is a great recipe! I used cream instead of the milk and it gave these a nice smooth texture. This will definitely be my go to french toast recipe!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Delicious! I used a fuji apple. Since they're so sweet, I did not add the sugar. When they were cooked, i let them cool and then I used my blender to make it a nice smooth texture instead of a chunkier one.

Potato Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Really good! This method works for sweet potatoes too. I used a potato peeler instead of a mandolin, and coated the pieces with olive oil. I only had to microwave my chips for about 2 minutes, but the final result was absolutely delicious!

Mocha Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Really light and yummy. I made a whipped cream filling and a dark chocolate ganache glaze on top. The cake itself is a little sweet for me, so I'll cut back on sugar next time! O, this cake does NOT need to bake more than 15 minutes. Otherwise, it was a nice spongey cake (not as good as other Asian bakery mocha cakes, but pretty darn good for homemade).

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
This is a really EASY recipe for ganache. If you don't want to fuss around with the stove, you could just microwave the cream until it starts to bubble. TIP: I put my chocolate chips in a measuring cup and poured my hot cream directly over the chocolate chips. This is really helpful when pouring the ganache over a cake for a glazed look!

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
These were really good. Next time I will make 12 smaller ones than eight GIANT ones. Otherwise, the flavor and texture were great!

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
I've made this a couple times and these are pretty good. The first time, they turned out brittle because I let the sugar and butter mixture boil too long...but the 2nd and 3rd times, they were timed perfectly and i had chewy, sweet cookies.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
I love this scone recipe! I make these on a regular basis because my boyfriend loves these for breakfast. I've made chocolate chip scones, lemon poppyseed, and lemon raspberry scones. I will definitely keep making them!
