Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2014
This is an excellent recipe and I wouldn't change a thing. It really bugs me when people say something like "I give it a 5 star rating with these changes. Then proceeds to give exactly the same ingredients but changed the amount because she was making something smaller. That really bugs me

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2014
Do not change a thing, and marinade it for as long as you can. The second time I made them was for our backyard bbq party. I marinade them for 2 days and I swear no one said 1 word as they ate them and when they were done they raved and I wrote out the recipe 9 times. This is exceptional

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2014
It's really good. I just have a problem giving five stars to anyone who uses BBQ or chilli or any type of jar sauce. It's not their recipe that rocks it's Heinz or bulls eye....... I read a recipe that had 5 stars that had the ingredients. The pasta, the jar of sauce, cheese and some garlic and Italian seasoning. THAT is not a recipe that should be on this site. But that's just me.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
Unless everyone uses the same salsa u won't be eating the same chilli. That is the reason I gave it a lower rating because without the salsa it is NOT very flavourful. The flavour is mostly from the salsa. So if I were to enter a contest and it wins, it would be Pace, old Dutch,......(insert your brand) that is the winner.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2014
I didn't like it at all. Milano is not very tasty. Tho I have heard that there is a sweeter one maybe that one would be better. First time I've made something from this site that we didn't like.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2014
Took it to a potluck supper and everyone raved about it. IAs others said it was very sweet I added the sugar a little at a time. And only needed 1/4 cup. I also added feta cheese and mushrooms but adding other vegetables didnt change the great taste. Nor make it taste better. Just adds more substance. I recommend making it as written maybe do the sugar like I did till you find the sweetness you prefer. And I don't recommend you use any other dressing.

Irish Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2014
Doesnt really matter who or what country came up with the idea its good and really easy and you can put in whatever tickles your fancy. I havent used frozen potatoes before but usually make this using leftover potatoes I have on hand. They can be mashed cubed....Spices are an individual choice. One doesn't make it better or worse. Just different. Be creative throw in cheese, veggies,meat.... Fresh tomatoes are our fav.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2014
I didnt brown it. I pounded my chicken so all pieces are same thickness this way they will all be done at same time. I find most people cook chicken for way to long. 19 min and they are usually perfect. Tender enough u won't need a knife. 35+ min and they're overdone. Other then that do NOT change a thing.

Baked Ziti I

I have never used canned/bottled sauce so mine was made with homemade sauce and all the cheeses in the recipe. So I gave it 2 stars for the cheeses selected.

I made it without changing anything. Then I made it using other reviewers changes. My advice. Do NOT make the changes. Leave the recipe as is.

Peanut Butter Hot Dogs

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2013
Make as is. Don't take anyone's advise and pour honey or chocolate or anything that would take this healthy snack and turn it into an unhealthy one. It tastes great as is plus your not putting junk in front of your kids.

Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2013
I've been eating pb and bananas on toast since I was 8. Never did I consider making a grilled sandwich. Great idea. I wouldn't be pouring syrup all over it or rolling it in sugar because 1. You would loose the flavour of the pb and banana and that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense since this recipe is for PB and bananas. And 2. That would be way to sweet. Way to fattening. And completely unhealthy. And again that would be a total different recipe.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2013
Wonderful sauce. I like mine chunky. If I wanted it smooth is use tomato sauce instead of tomatoes. Also if u take out the CREAM and use skim of course it's going to be runny. Cream helps thicken it. But NEVER use flour. Blah it ruins the taste. Use cornstarch makes a nice smooth thick sauce without sacrificing taste. I always use it in gravies, sauces.... Anything that calls for a thickener. I take out some of the sauce add the cornstarch till it's thick like icing. Then add a little bit at a time. Wait till it boils and see how much it thickens. Add more if necessary. But be careful not to add to much at a time or u will be adding more liquid. So much better then flour.

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2013
Great recipe. Ive made it a few times. And the only change i Made was substituting onion soup mix in place of onion. I liked it better as the onions don't seem to cook thru and the soup also adds a nice flavor. Next time I think I'll add small can of tomato sauce and omit the lemon juice and maybe up the amount of mustard. But for the most part I'll prob use this recipe (with soup mix) cause its so good.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2013
Excellent as is. Most of the changes people are making is taking the original spices and flour coating and doubling them. That's all according to everyone's different taste buds. I would try it with the original the first time. These people who change things without trying the original first are not being fair to the submitter.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2013
Leave the recipe as is. All these people talk about how they changed this and that but didn't even try it the original way so they have no idea how good the original recipe is. And adjusting spices is just for everyone's different taste buds. Doesn't make or break anything. Thanks for a great recipe.
