Spicy Lime Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
Delicious and easy! Substituting Creole seasoning for the Cajun also works well. We grilled the shrimp on skewers and squeezed a lil lime juice on them after removing from the grill. My husband and I both really enjoy these.

Jill's Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
This is a family favorite. This works great with texas style hashbrowns (the small square cut ones). I substitute Cream of Chicken Soup for the Cream of Mushroom Soup. I also leave out the onions and add a dash of onion and garlic powder. If you mix the corn flakes with some melted butter before topping, it will give them a good taste and crisp. Just some changes I've picked up from others. It's pretty difficult to mess this recipe up though, as it is always delicious.

Ham, Potato, and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Ive made this a couple times now, and it is delicious. I left the onions out and used onion powder instead. I also added a little garlic powder and parsley. My husband loves this soup and likes to bring the leftovers to work for lunch.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Mmmm...I love twice baked potatoes and this recipe was perfect. Only thing I changed was leaving out the onions because husband does not like them. This is one of my favorite side dishes. They taste great reheated too! Thanks.

Barbecue Beef Cups

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Thanks for this quick and simple recipe. My husband really enjoyed them. I think next time I will try using taco seasoning and salsa instead of the bbq sauce, as others have suggested.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
Followed the recipe with no substitutions and chicken came out good. My husband and I both liked it, but it was a bit too lemony. Next time I will reduce the lemon juice just a little.

This made a delicious roast and vegetables. I browned the roast in salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and used beef broth instead of water. My husband and I both really enjoyed this recipe.

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
I had never had yorkshire pudding before trying this recipe. As others suggested I added a little salt and pepper. These were a perfect complement to pot roast and vegetables. My husband was amazed at how high they rose. He kept asking for more. Will be making these again!

Ramen Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
My mom used to make this when I was a kid, and I was happy to find the recipe. I used a bag of chopped cabbage, and the recipe yielded enough to fill a large bowl. As others suggested, I decreased the oil. I kept the dressing separate from the salad (so it wouldn't get soggy) and ate on it throughout the week. Quick, easy, and yummy!
