Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Really good. I used less butter, as some other reviewers suggested. Also, I made with a gluten-free flour mixture, and they turned out fine. They were a little on the fudgy side; I don't know if that was from the flour mixture, my underbaking them, or if they always turn out that way. But they were good!

Black Forest Cake I

I am really not a fan of cake mixes--too light and insubstantial. This cake was wonderfully rich and just dense enough. The whole recipe was delicious.

Creamy Deviled Eggs

These had a lot stronger flavor thirty minutes after I made them than twenty-four hours later, when we finished them up. I advise making them ahead of when you want to eat them, as they were almost too strong (for my taste) right away.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

It is not the kind of icing I prefer, but it was good. The flavor of the butter comes through more than I like. I put it in between and on the top of the two layers of carrot cake, but had I planned to put it on the sides of the cake, I think it would have run.

Chicken Pa Nang

As suggested by another review, I greatly increased the red curry paste. I tripled it, and I could have added even more. Also, since I am not a huge fish fan, when I make this again I will add less fish sauce. SO, more curry paste and less fish sauce makes a great tasting dish that I love.

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

These tasted pretty good, but I think the thing I liked BEST about them was how easy they were to make! Since the recipe made a lot, we had the filling in our refrigerator for a few days and were able to make several quick meals.

Great! I did, however, make some changes. I put in half the amount of cream cheese, used chicken base--and made it strong--for the broth, and added curry powder. Mmmmm!

It was fun to have a new, but compatible, flavor in each bite of this dish. I cooked it for forty minutes, which was plenty of time. Next time I might only cook it thirty-five minutes or less.

Cornish Pasties III

I think there's something wrong with the pastry recipe. I did try it, and I had to add a lot of flour and almost no water. It rolled out OK, but the finished product was pretty weird. The filling I changed around some, and it was good. The rating I gave is an average for the whole thing.

Shortcut Minestrone

I will definitely be making this again! I did change a few things: Italian sausage instead of bacon (1 pound), 2x the carrots, 2x the green beans, and one extra cup of beef broth. My family loved it and it was so easy!

Special Potato Salad

As usual, I didn't thoroughly read this recipe before I started making it; basically, I just cooked the potatoes (white, since I didn't have red ones), chilled them, and added the rest of the ingredients--except the bacon, because I didn't have any. But it was great! I used Greek yogurt (better for you) and no sour cream...since I didn't have any. I can tell it would be really good with the bacon.

Sausage and Egg Casserole

When I tasted a bit of the the sausage I browned for this recipe, I noticed that it seemed salty. I should have considered this when I made the dish, because it turned out to be almost too salty. I advise others making the dish to check the saltiness of their sausage before adding salt to the recipe.
