Healing Cabbage Soup

I made this for dinner tonight. Oh my lordy, it was awesome. I did make a couple small changes just because of personal preference and everyone here ate two bowls at least. I added a whole leek instead of the onion because I love leeks and 4 cloves of garlic. Also, sauteed some button mushrooms with the leek and garlic. I used chicken broth and some water instead of the bouillon cubes because it was in my cabinet. And I used a whole 2 pound cabbage. It was perfect for me because I'm sick. My nephew is on a special diet and he ate three bowls. Soo happy with this. It is on the meal rotation hahaha

Grape Jelly

I made this today and got 6 (8 ounce) jars and all were filled up but one. That one is the house jar all the rest are being given out as gifts. I only added 5 cups of sugar and it was plenty sweet. My bf compared it to Welches Grape jelly and said it was delicious. Very easy to make as well. Will be making again soon!!!

Watermelon Preserves

Just finished making these. Got five half pints. They look beautiful so far and they are all sitting except for one that is in the fridge for us to try tonight. I tried a little from the pot and it was delish. I followed the recommendation to use lemon and orange and can't wait to try this on some toast. Does anyone on here have a recommendation on where to store it and for how long? Did anyone leave it a while before opening the jar? I haven't canned in a while so I was hoping to get some advice.

Made this tonight for dinner. Looks delicious and tastes really good too! I did add a little cumin and instead of garlic I added garlic powder. Will definitely make again

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Made this recipe tonight since I've been craving good apple pie for a while. I did a homemade crust (French Pastry Pie crust) and added a little bit of cinnamon, maybe a teaspoon, to the sauce mix. Sooooo good. The crust isn't soggy, the apples are perfect and it's delicious! Also, I used a rectangle pan. This is my first time doing the lattice top and I will do it again! Can't wait to make for possibly Thanksgiving!!
