Honey Butter and Cinnamon Waffles, our little secret.

I made Bree's Honey Butter, and let's just say I wanted to take that sandwich knife and spread it right into my mouth, thus eliminating the middleman.  Once I tasted the end product, I immediately thought about my cinnamon waffles and how good that Honey Butter would taste on them. (Here comes a shameless plug for Carol's Cinnamon Waffle Recipe which can be found on Allrecipes.com)

Even though, it was 3:00 in the afternoon, I went straight to the freezer and pulled out one of the waffles.  I stuck it in the toaster, and when it was warm and toasty, popped it out, spread a dollup, and then another dollup, of honey butter into all of the craters on top of the waffle and watched it melt (briefly) before I popped it into my mouth and enjoyed buttery, cinnamon bliss.  So much so, that I had to immediately put another one into the toaster.  Well, I enjoyed the second waffle and put away the toaster just in time before my son walked in the door after school.  There were no signs of Mom's afternoon binge of honey butter, that, my friend, is our little secret.

About Me
I am ex-career woman turned professional household administrator. I enjoy learning new cooking techniques and preparing recipes that my family enjoys as much as restaurant food.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy baking sweet treats, especially most things chocolate. I am working on expanding my horizons on Chinese and Mexican cuisine. I love to grill outdoors, especially a good steak.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am full-blooded Italian and I enjoy making homemade pasta noodles with my mother. She is so fast and has just the right touch with the dough. I enjoy trying to master her techniques.
My cooking triumphs
I love to learn. My husband has given me culinary classes and books as gifts. One of my favorites was the science behind baking. Where I was able to experiment with the ingredients to customize a chocolate chip cookie exactly to my liking.
My cooking tragedies
When I was younger every meal I prepared was an adventure. I remember the pan of brownies where the entire pan came out as one piece and wouldn't break even when we threw it up against a brick wall. Then there was the gravy that exploded in the blender all over the kitchen. Yikes!
