White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
I have made this twice now with different results. The taste both times has been incredible, but the 2nd time I read more reviews and followed those who indicated to use milk instead of water. I will go back to water. It does nothing for the taste, but the texture I found the first time to be far better, more dense, than the 2nd. It did not cut cleanly. It did better with a sharper knife but I still felt on some slices I was cutting into the cake. In addition, large air pockets also resulted and that look was not my vision unfortunately. Good thing it tasted good! :-)

Kickin' London Broil with Bleu Cheese Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2013
We broiled the meat in the oven for about 7-10 min/side. It turned out medium well. Next time we'll try to do 5-7 min for even more tenderness. I did pound it before cooking, I think that helped. We also allowed the meat to rest before cutting...that was hard! :-) My husband kept cutting end peices off while we waited. The meat was incredible! YOU HAVE GOT TO MAKE THE BUTTER! The butter REALLY added to the flavor and was neccessary to cool the heat (Not temp.) down. My husband said he would have paid for the meal! I would have too!

Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
This recipe is great! I used to buy frozen 'tators' to serve as a side item with a relaxed meal. I really appreciate using the fresh ingredients instead. I know exactly what is in there and do not have to guess. The taste is awesome and now they are our 'go to' for many lazy Friday night meals. You have to try them for yourself!

Pan-Seared Tilapia

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
This was very good! I was looking for a different way to cook the fish, Pan-Searing was different. The flavor is very good, I need to find out how to make it where it does not fall apart, my only issue. I will definitely make this again to perfect that part!

I was surprised at how authentic this tasted. Perfect blend of flavors...A LOT OF CHOPPING, THOUGH! A food processor would be great here!

Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
Great sauce recipe and very easy! I added more pepper flakes (I love it spicy!) and onions and green peppers. It added thickness to the sauce that I believe it needed since the tomatoes were not drained. I will buy diced tomotoes next time, it took more time to cut them up to get the same consistency. I will also use larger shrimp, the small were slightly swallowed up by the flavor of everything else. This is a great recipe to use with other red sauce recipes where I purchase canned spaghetti sauce. Taste just like the restaurant!

Savory Deviled Eggs

These eggs were so good! I brought them to a Superbowl party as a side and it was hard not to make this my main dish...that would have been greedy! :-) My husband loved them!

Chicago-Style Hot Dog

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
I was looking for a recipe to add a bit of KICK to the ordinary hot dog...because that is what I had on hand. Boy, did I! This was it. I'm your everyday mustard, ketchup, relish on a dog kinda girl, so this was a stretch. This was pretty darn (wanting to use another word) GOOD! My husband referenced the meal many times that evening saying how surprisingly good it was! The best thing? The cost!
