Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
Maybe I should be rating my own recipe, but I made some changes. I used double the honey, added garlic, olive oil and fresh lemon grass. I also used fresh ginger too. I marinated the chops in the sauce for about an hour before placing them on top a bed of sliced onions. I omitted the water. I actually broiled the chops about 9 minutes each side and they came out great! Sauce was disappointing though. Should of followed some of the other reviews and added some cornstarch to thicken it.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
Great recipe, but I made so many changes that I don't know if it's still the recipe. Like many people recommended I doubled up on the sauce. I didn't have any worcestershire sauce so I omitted it. Substituted it with oyster sauce instead. I also used balsamic vinegar instead of lemon juice (because it's what I had on hand). I also mashed up half of a kiwi and mixed that into the marinade and added a good dose of sesame oil (didn't really measure it). I included the brown sugar and ketchup. I pour all of the sauce over the pork chops and let them marinate for an hour (heard that kiwi can turn your meat to mush if left on too long). Popped them in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees, then turned the oven off and left the pork chops in the oven for an additional 15 minutes (don't know if it really made a difference). They came out great. I used bone-in, 1 inch thick pork chops and served with a side of baby bak choy and rice.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
I have made this recipe a billion times. My bf loves lasagna and absolutely loves this recipe. It is a little bit time consuming and a lot of work but definitely well worth it. One time I tried to cut down on the work and used a can of Classico pasta sauce, it wasn't the same. I like to throw a couple of bay leaves into the sauce while it's simmering too.
