Black-Eyed Pea Soup

Tasty! I had to make quite a few substitutions due to my pantry stock, but still turned out good and was a bit fresher. Will hope to try as original recipe to compare. Substitutions included: pork to 1/4c bacon bits, Worchester sauce to Steak sauce, garlic salt to 2 garlic cloves plus sea salt and molasses to syrup. Used frozen black eyed peas and beef stalk instead of caned and added water with bouillon. Good tasty soup...would prefer it thicker (original recipe may be so) or served with rice or cornbread. Maybe add some crushed tomatoes for thickening next time?
