Hamburger, Potato, and Kidney Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2014
I wasn't sure whether I would like kidney beans with potatoes, but this was surprisingly really good. I precooked the bacon before I cooked the beef a little so there wouldn't be a big mess of bacon grease floating on the top. I would make this again!

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2014
YUM! This will be my go to recipe when I want to make something fast and easy with over ripened bananas. So moist and flavorful and didn't need frosting.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2014
My husband said these were the best muffins he's ever had. The topping reminds me of coffee cake. Will definitely make again.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2014
I made a turkey for the first time ever and this is the recipe I went with. AMAZING! I don't even usually eat the skin, but this was so good that I had to. The turkey turned out moist and great flavor.

I wasn't a big fan of this soup, too tomatoey for me.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2014
3.5 stars. These cookies are good, they don't taste bad at all but both my husband and I thought the peanut butter taste could have been stronger. The first batch I cooked for 9 mins and a couple cookies were too brown so I cooked the rest for 8 minutes and it resulted in a much tastier cookie, soft but crunchy at the same time. Next time I want to make pb cookies I'll probably look for another recipe though.

South-of-the-Border Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2014
I really enjoyed this recipe, it was similar to a family recipe I've been making for years only different seasonings, and this has much better flavor! I left out the water as I prefer a thicker stew. We are going to be making this again!

Porcupine Meatballs III

Reviewed: May 23, 2013
I really enjoyed these. After they were done cooking I did add a jar of spaghetti sauce and served them with noodles. It was a good way to use up tomato soup in the cupboard. My husband loved them too and said we have to make them again. So here I am cooking em a second time :)

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

yum! This was really tasty. I did use a little less sugar, but it turned out great. I am a sucker for butterscotch :)

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
All I tasted was tomato, waaayyy too heavy on the tomato. I couldn't bring myself to eat the leftovers. My husband thought it was ok, but we won't be making this again.

Sweet Potato Casserole VI

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
This was sickly sweet and I used 2/3 the amount of sugar the recipe called for!

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
The soup itself tasted pretty good, but it ravaged my husband and I's tummy for more than a day after eating it. I guess dried northern beans are one bean we need to stay away from!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
I LOVE these hamburger steaks. Cook em with double gravy, mashed potatoes, and corn and it's just like my favorite tv dinner, only homemade and a million times better!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
yum, crunchy! made the dough and let it sit while the hamburger browned. it made two cookie sheet sized pizzas. cheap and easy to make, and so much better than the chef boy-r-dee pizza that i always thought was good homemade style pizza haha. i'll never that again!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
YUM! I am impressed! I was nervous when I prepared the marinade because the smell of it was odd, but 10 hours later when I made it for dinner it turned out to be the most moist and flavorful chicken I have made on the grill. I wish I had made more! I will definately be making this again and sharing the recipe!

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
I think it's good, but the consistency of the bread isn't the best I've made. My hubby on the other hand says this is his favorite banana bread, probably because he prefers the coconut in this over the chocolate chips in the banana split bread I like to make.

Blonde Brownies I

Yum! My hubby had never tried blonde brownies and now says he will never eat regular brownies again! Next time I think I want to try them with butterscotch chips instead of chocolate, but they are delicious as is!

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

This made for an excellent dinner and lots of yummy leftovers. I prefered mine without extra bbq sauce on it as the meat was flavorful and tender on its own. Would make this again!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
Fantastic! I was looking to make something that would take me and my hubby back to our last trip to Chicago, where we ate at Al's Beef after seeing it on Man Vs Food. This fit the bill and a 2.5 lb roast made three nights worth of the most delicious Italian Beef sandwiches. Especially delicious when eaten on Rotella's hoagies and dipped in the juices (I did use beef broth instead of just water.)
