Spinach Artichoke & Turkey Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
First time making lasagna and it was great! I used the Rosemary seasoning instead of fresh and fresh spinach instead of frozen. Only thing though is that it didn't make as much sauce as I had hoped, so ended up with less layers. In all, great recipe and will be a fixture at my house.

Vegetarian Chickpea Sandwich Filling

I followed this recipe perfectly and thought it tasted simply awful. I guess it's an acquired taste.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
I slow cooked a whole chicken with veggies (onions, celery, carrots) at bottom; seasoned with seasoning salt, thyme, paprika, poultry seasoning; about 3 cloves of garlic inside. An hour before finish, I pieced apart half the chicken - very easy because it was so tender. I removed the other half from the pot. I then added 1 can of Cream of Mushroom (was all I had) to the juices created from the chicken, then added the biscuit pieces on top. It was the best ever!!! You also have a second meal with the other half chicken.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
A tad bit too sweet than what I'm used to for cornbread, but overall an excellent recipe. This is my second time making. It's definitely a keeper.

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
I accidentally used no-sodium beans which gave it little flavor; I had to add a can of black beans and about a teaspoon of sugar substitute. That seemed to do the trick. And yes, these are addictive!

Neat Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
Excellent!!! I did a slightly low-fat version by using turkey in place of beef; light brown sugar; wheat buns. This was absolutely the best sloppy joe - EVER!!

Krazy Garlic Trout

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Good but not great. I used filets instead of whole trout so toppings were not in but on top; otherwise i cooked everything according to the recipe. I think the butter was not necessary will sub with olive oil next time (if there is one). Seemed like a lot of work for an ok result.

Spinach Turkey Roll

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Turned out perfect; followed recipe almost exactly except replaced dried mustard for regular; added 1 tbs worchester; 1 tbs bbq sauce. 10 minutes before finish, covered top with ketchup and added spaghetti sauce on top and sides. Served with spaghetti. PERFECT!!!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
Really tasty but the recipe does not make enough seasoning for large pieces, only enough for 2 medium breasts coated both sides. I had to make a second batch for the rest. I also didn't have onion powder so subbed with poultry seasoning. Turned out great and added more flavor I think. Plus, I will use less butter and olive oil than recipe calls for. There was a lot left afterward which got wasted. Both overall, very tasty. My daughter loved it and she's a picky eater.
