About this Cook
I am a thirty something return student who doesn't have a lot of time to cook. Right now anything in the crock pot that my husband will actually eat is great.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy trying new recipes, but my all time favorite thing to cook is "cowboy cookies" it's a recipe my mom got from her mom and now I have it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Obviously, "cowboy cookies", cheesy mashed potatos for the holidays (very fattening, but sooooooooooo good)and the tradition of potluck night, which is when we eat leftovers from the past week.
My cooking triumphs
I once made 3 lasgnas for a potluck of over a hundered people and helped cook a thanksgiving dinner for 50. I've done a lot of volunteer work.
My cooking tragedies
Right after I got my crockpot, I tried so cooking chicken breasts. I didn't know what I was doing. I wrapped them in tinfoil (no water at all) and threw them in there for 6 hours. They were so hard I couldn't even break them.

Apricot Pork Chops
I thought this was great. It was very easy and my husband liked it, which says a lot since he usually hates pork. I didn't have the dressing so I made some with catchup and mayo and it worked fine.
