This is a great bean soup for a cold evening meal. Just add some fresh made cornbread & you've got a hearty meal.

I'm a big fan of red skinned tater salad. Just wish my husband was. He's not that fond of skins in his potato salad.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
This recipe is a staple in my house. I use mild Italian sausage & don't add the pepper flakes because I have a little one who doesn't like spicy foods.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
I am so surprised that I like these. Ever since I was a kid I hated Brussels sprouts. What kid actually likes them?? But my husband loves them so I would make them for him & suffer the smell of them steaming & try not to gag while he ate them. That is until I roasted them. Wow, what a difference! Roasting these little babies adds such a nutty flavor. I am a convert! My husband thanks you!

New England Clam Chowder I

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
By far, the best clam chowder ever. I make a few alterations to suit our tastes... I add a few more slices of bacon(cuz who doesn't like more bacon?), more clams & I add a slurry of cornstarch & water to thicken it slightly. Soooooooo goooooooood

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
I didn't think I would like baked ziti seeing as how I'm not a fan of baked pastas but this is pretty good. The only changes I make is instead of regular sauce I use vodka sauce & ground bison since we don't eat ground beef. Very yummy

Colorado Green Chili (Chile Verde)

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
This recipe reminds me of my Mom's version of chili verde. I absolutely LOVE it. I had been making another recipe from this site for the longest (one that does not have tomatoes in it) until I found this one. Wish I had seen this one first seeing as how my husband hates this one. He never tasted chili verde before I made it & he is not a fan of tomatoes so when I tried this recipe on him he was shocked to say the least. Great recipe, just wish I could make it more often.

Cherry Ham Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
This is my go to glaze for our Christmas ham. My only change is I strain the cherries through a siv before mixing in other ingredients. We like this glaze smooth & not chunky.

Grilled Rock Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
I didn't have rock lobster but I gave this recipe 5 stars anyway. I don't think it matters what kind of lobster you use, it's the marinade that makes these guys. Can't wait till next summer to wow my friends again. I get asked for the recipe whenever I make these. I have decided it is a closely guarded secret. :)

Ukrainian Meat Filled Cabbage Rolls

Everyone in my family from youngest to oldest LOVES these rolls. The only think I change is the meat being that we don't eat ground beef. I use ground turkey, which goes great with the sauce.
