Mexican White Cheese Dip/Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
I did like this one! The easiest part is all at one time, all in one pot. It was good. Just a quick dip for some chips was all I wanted.

Strawberry Sauza®-Rita

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
I liked it but maybe too much Strawberry? I don't mean the recipe, I mean me, the one who made it! I was having fun pouring that. It's really good. Mine wasn't as bubbly as the others, still good. It was for a Sauza Tequila party and there are some side cars on my tray of the tequila. So smooth!

Light Delight Sauza®-Rita

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
I really liked this one. It's really easy to make and I could see keeping a pitcher in the fridge for when you are out on the deck! I rubbed my glass in salt and lime zest. Perfectly yummy!

Braised Italian Sausage Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
This turned out great. I did use fresh spinach in place of the swiss chard. A versatile dish with good flavor!

Italian Sausage Frittata

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2013
This turned out great. I made this for brunch and was very good. I should maybe have plated with a tomato slice or so...it has quite a bit of flavor even though my pic looks plain.

Pickled Onions

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2013
I did add a bit more sugar because of the other reviews. I also didn't add my red onions till after I made the pickling liquid. These will be great on tonight's burgers!

This turned out really good. I actually shaped it into buns. I'm happy to find another good one for the bread machine.

Great Hot Crab Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2013
I liked it. I would have liked more seasoning or it to be spicier. This would be a good one to add to.

Sweet and Smoky Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
I enjoyed this recipe. I think the most important part is the simmering before adding the ketchup. That really helped the flavors. I will do that again. I do like the heat and smokiness of a chipotle or chipotle sauce in BBQ so I may exchange the liquid smoke next time. This is a good starting point and excellent method.

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
Excellent! I have made this exact recipe no less than 50 times. I can't believe I never gave it a review. I make "everything" bagels for work and these are perfect. Loved by everyone. So fresh. They freeze excellent, even if you slice before freezing. Wrap well. Remove direct from freezer, 30 second defrost in micro and you can eat or toast just a bit for crisping. Perfect!

Cheese Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
These were certainly easy to make. They came out a bit drier for me. If you are looking for a moister style biscuit this may not be it. I used half and half instead of milk. Used Garlic Powder and fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley) and actually smashed some flat and used over chicken pot pie instead of crust. Because of the dryer texture they worked out well with the gravy of the pot pie. I will make these again, I just mixed it all in a bowl with a fork and it was pretty easy. I hand shaped those that I didn't place on pot pies.

Accidental Fish

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
I really liked this dish. The mahi mahi was reasonably priced and I got a nice filet. I simmer the butter, garlic, tomato and instead of green onion I used fresh parsley and fresh thyme. I skipped the hot sauce but just because of the fresh herbs. I didn't add lemon juice to this sauce but gave everyone a fresh lemon wedge when I served it. I was worried about using 450F so I did 400 and just baked it longer. Made an asparagus au gratin for the side.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
I made the hot dog buns and they turned out great! I will make these again and again. I did use my bread machine and read several others did too but I didn't see how they did theirs in the machine. I heated my butter, water and milk on the stovetop just to melt the butter. I didn't check the temperature. I added it to the bread machine, then the egg and all other ingredients (that's the order my machine gets filled with liquids on the bottom). I didn't have instant yeast so I just used my regular yeast, about 2 3/4 teaspoons to get me just over a package of yeast. I only used 4 1/4 cups of flour, thought I would watch the machine and add more flour if needed but it was somewhat sticky dough and probably would have been fine with the full amount. I did brush them with egg/water before baking. I made 11 buns, some were larger for later in the week (thinking italian sausage and peppers) and the smaller ones were used for hot dogs.

Asian Ginger Grill Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
This was very good. I skipped the ginger since I didn't have fresh. Had more than 1T of green onion, but it was still very good.
