Taco Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2002
This was terrific! I browned some diced onions with the meat. I spread a think layer of refried beans on the baked crescent roll then added the meat, sour cream, lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese and topped with tortilla chips. I will make this recipe again!

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2002
This was really good. I am not a big cottege cheese lover, but I was pleasantly surprised how this recipe turned out. My family loved it. Next time I will have to leave out the green chiles, they were a litttle hot for my kids. I will make this again!

Cream Peas

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2002
I liked this recipe but my husband can't tolerate a lot of cream sauces. This is definately creamy. My 1 year old liked it, but my other two kids, forget it! There was a lot left over and it seemed that I was the only one eating them.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2002
This was a good recipe for chicken fingers. The buttermilk is what makes this chicken so tender. I will make these again.

Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2002
This recipe was good however I personally thought it needed a little suger to sweeten up the sause. That's just my opinion. My husband liked it. My kids had red sauce with their pasta. I probably would make it again.

Cranberry Pork Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2002
Well, I wasn't sure about this recipe until I tried it. I was pleasantly suprised how this turned out. I cut back on the suger as suggested by others. The pork was tender and the gravy was a nice suprise. Two out of three of my children liked it. I will make this again. Enjoy!

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2002
This was fantastic! I followed the directions for the most part. I used a Beef round bottom roast and added 1 chopped onion and 1 diced green pepper which added lots of flavor. I didn't have that smoked sause. I also cut the meat into bite size cubes before I added it into the crock pot. The cubes came out extremely tender and pulled apart as well. If you take the lid off for the last two hours of cooking, you will find that the sause thickens and you don't need to make extra sause like others have said. Mine turned out perfect. I served this dish over rice for my children and my husband and I ate it on a Kieser roll. Please try!

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2002
I made this for my Wednesday morning play group and everyone seemed to like it. I also added a teaspoon of vanilla and baked it an extra 20 minutes in an 8x8 square dish. I thought it had a little too much flour taste, so I might cut back a little on it. Overall, it was very good!

Baked Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2002
This was an easy recipe to make. It is good as a bread or side dish. Next time I make it, I will use less butter like someone else suggested. I may try adding cheese as well. It does make a lot. We had enough for two nights.

Slow Cooker Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2002
If you like Kielbesa then you'll love this recipe. I made it because it sounded good, but unfortunately I am not a Kielbesa lover so I was a bit disappointed. My husband liked it, my 5 year old and 8 year old didn't but my 13 month old son loved it. He ate his whole dish! I'm glad I tried it!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2002
WOW! This was my first recipe I made from this web site and it sure was terrific. The dressing is what makes this salad so very good. I also enjoyed the cranberries with the toasted almond slivers. I will be serving this to friends and family. I can't wait to share!

Spinach Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2002
This soup is so delicious and easy! I also add 2 cans of stewed tomatoes and used fresh garlic instead of powder. I also add chicken broth or extra water when the soup gets too thick and it will! This soup is great with a sandwich or all by itself. I have also doubled/tripled the recipe for parties. I made it for my son's first birthday and it was a huge success. Don't forget to add parmesan cheese when serving. Enjoy!
