Best Butternut Squash Soup Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2013
This was incredible! My ANTI-squash teen boys devoured it and said "THIS IS GOOD MOM!" I added 1 cup of chardonnay with the chicken broth. I halved four squash and baked them in the oven face in two 9 x 13 glass dishes first, then scooped the flesh out into my delightful seasoned onions and garlic mixture sizzling in butter. I didn't have thyme so I used a little rosemary and sage. I also did not have allspice so used nutmeg. Thank you for this recipe! :)

White Zinfandel Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
My family loved this! I did modify it. I used chardonnay instead of white zin, I also used a whole regular onion, and 8 oz of fresh mushrooms sliced and added chicken broth. I spooned out the onions and mushrooms over the chicken, reserved the broth/sauce in the pan and threw some fresh Kale in there until wilted. My teenagers said I was "the mushroom ninja" ;) Hubby didn't speak a word to me because he was inhaling it!

Beth's Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
My 14 year old son told me this was the best meatloaf I've ever made! :) The rest of the family nodded while stuffing their mouths with more ;) I modified the recipe to my Paleo diet by subsituting the breadcrumbs with coconut flour, used almond milk instead of dairy, and honey instead of sugar. Everuthing else I followed to the T and it was AMAZING! (I actually froze my loaf uncooked, so all I had to do was defrost in the sink and cook it after work...Perfection!)

Beef Stew Al la Catherine

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2012
Because this is my mother's recipe and she is not an allrecipes member, but I am...I had to share it, and it is truly THE best beef stew I have ever had. So my review is hands down 5 stars! This stew disapears with requests for seconds, and thirds!

The Best Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
This was fantastic on boneless beef ribs!!! I can't wait to try it on a nice strip steak! Incredibly tender, juicy meat with delicious flavor. I honestly did not think it would be good when I was making it, because when I dipped my finger in the marinde it was just "ok" however....after marinating and cooking on the grill, my beef was equal to fine restaurant quality!

Easy Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
Clean, light, flavorful and healthy. I use honey in place of sugar, and instead of salt I use celery seed. I also just used jarred parsley and dill and it was still great. I did use fresh garlic cloves and that can pack some bite, so you may want to go for the jarred minced garlic for less "punch" if you are serving to those who might be averse to strong flavors like that. LOVED IT!

Grilled Mongolian Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
After making this recipe, my family thinks I am the most amazing cook! :) My in laws say they've never tasted such tender and delicious pork! Everyone was licking their fingers and fighting for the last piece of meat. We used this on ribs, the longer you marinate the better (I've made it twice now) I also substituted the sugar with honey and it was delicious, I also did not have the sherry vinegar so just skipped it, it was still absolutely amazing! Everyone asks me now to make "my" amazing marinade! ;) Shhhh! Thanks Chef John!
