Grandma's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
I made this dish the day after Thanksgiving. Instead of making the pie crust, I used pre-made pie crust (two 9 inch Pillsbury ready made pie crust). I also added a half can of corn, frozen veggies (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower) and added some poultry season to the mix to add flavor. My family loved it! Made some Sweet Yellow Corn Bread Muffins (Pioneer brand) and they complimented the meal nicely.

Herbed Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
I made these for my family. I cooked them at 435F instead of 425F just to be sure they would be done. They came out great. I coated the chicken with the eggs and then put into a strainer with a bowl underneath as I had 3 chicken breasts and there was a lot of leftover egg. I combined the dry ingredients into a zip lock (to save a bowl) and then put in the egg dipped chicken. Then shake the bag to coat. I used Italian seasoning, garlic powder and bread crumbs. I then put the chicken on a baking sheet and drizzled with light olive oil. I've added it to my recipe box - It's a keeper!

Easiest Turkey Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
So easy to make and lots of flavor. Added some ground pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and parsley in with the ground Turkey as suggested by another review. I halved the recipe and cooked at 375F for 45 mins. I cooked in a smaller loaf pan. Served with gravy, mashed potatoes and veggies.

Chicken Katsu

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
This takes me a while to make, but is one of my favorite recipes. I also make the sweet & Sour sauce recommended in one of the reviews. It makes the dish.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
My boys and I made these cookies for Santa. We followed the recipe exactly. I put the dough in the fridge for 2 hours to chill and used powered sugar (not flour) and parchment paper to roll it out. I cooked them on parchment paper (lay on top of cookie sheets). That was smart as the cookies didn't stick at all. I think our cookies were closer to 1/2 inches thick as we only had 49 cookies when done, instead of 60. I cooked them for 9 mins. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews and wonder if perhaps they are using the wrong kind of butter? I used Central Market European UnSalted Butter. Our dough was not sticky and quite easy to work with. These cookies are wonderful with icing. I can see if they were eaten alone, one would not like them, but with icing they are a perfect sweet treat. I will make these again for sure!
