Mississippi Mud Pie II

the filling is great but in the directions it says to press into a 9x13 and there is no way there is enough dough. so i went to cooks.com and used a crust recipe for mississippi mud pie then came back and used this filling recpe. still it is too thin, a local steak house serves this dessert and it is thick so next time i make this i will use the other crust recipe i found which uses 1 3/4 cup flour, 1 cup pecans and i\1 stick of melted butter.

Baked Potato Soup

This is a great recipe. I halfed the basil as others had said. I also used yukon gold potatos instead because they are my favorite. I also did not have a hardly any drippings since I by center cut bacon so rather than getting it real crip and adding it as a topping I just left it in the pan after cooking it a bit, not to crispness and added the onion and garlic and just left the bacon in the pan to cook the whole time. This is definetly a keeper an will make over and over. Thank you for another great recipe.

Beer Butt Chicken

wow you MUST make. Though man did I feel guilty lathering it with all that butter! I made two recipes of chicken that night this one and the sticky rotissorie chicken and no one wanted the other chicken they all wanted this one. I cant wait to make this for my extened family and friends

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

I had a dinner party of nine last night and I had red potatos to cook but wanted to do something different with then so of course I chose to look here on this wonderful site. Man were these good, everyone loved them!!! I did add more honey like someone suggested. 3T instead of 2 and left everything else the way that it was. I also did cut the potato into bite size pieces and it too about an hour for them to cook, but boy was it worth the wait. THANK YOU for this great recipe

Sarah's Applesauce

I am not an applesauce fan but I had some apples that were going a little mushy on me and did not want to see them go to waste. So I made this recipe and I doubled it and cooked it in the crockpot for 3-4 hours on high. WOW this is so yummy even from a person who does not like applesauce.

Chili Seasoning Mix II

my husband is the chili maker in the house and when I told him to put away his store bought mix he growled but gave this a try and he said he will never go back to store bought I must admit though it is too spicy for kids so tame it some for them, and my kids like spicy stuff but this was too much spice and we even tamed it some but will have to do more taming next time
