Cheater Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
Oh. My. Gosh. This is too good to be this easy. I first tried it about a month ago, and I've made it 3 times. The best and easiest meal to make in a hurry. And it makes enough for plenty of leftovers! THANK YOU!!!

The Best Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
This IS the best steak marinade on earth!!! I mean seriously...super easy and OH MY GOSH SO GOOD!!!! I did not have any problems with it tasting vinegary or anything - made exactly as written except for I didn't have the dijon mustard, but I just put some dried mustard in there and it was fabulous. My whole family raved!

Ground Beef Curly Noodle

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2012
I am giving this 5 stars not because it's a gourmet meal, but because it was super easy to make and everyone enjoyed it. I am actually shocked it was as good as it was. In order to shave off some sodium, I chopped up fresh tomatoes and used frozen corn. I also used 2 packets of ramen noodles, but only one seasoning packet. Because I used fresh tomatoes, I needed to add some water and soy sauce to get the noodles to soften. But it was great, and GONE! With growing kids/teens - that's all I ask for!

Andrew's Favorite Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2012
This was really tasty! I only let them marinade for about 2 hours, but they taste was very good. Next time, I will let them marinade even longer for fuller flavor. I didn't have rosemary on hand, so I omitted that but otherwise it was just as written. Served with sauteed squash and baked potato - lovely meal.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
This was pretty good, but I didn't think this was the best chili I'd ever had like so many other reviews. I'm not sure if it was the salsa (Tostitos) that I used or what, but it was almost sweet. I think I will stick with my old faithful, but this was a nice little variation.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
You know you have cooked a good meal when you catch your 10 yr old daughter licking her plate before putting it in the sink. This dish was hands down one of my favorite recipes ever cooking from this site (and I am here constantly). I made it as is except I forgot to put the olive oil in the skillet and I used petite diced tomatoes. This is SUPER easy and SOOO good. Who needs to go to restaurants when we have as good of recipes as this to put out for your family??

Delicious Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
I must admit, when I had mixed everything together and was putting it in the pan to cook -- I did not think it was going to be good. It was way too soupy, and I was already trying to think of an alternate dinner plan. However, the dish surprised me. It was quite tasty. I made it as stated but without the celery.

Quick Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Holy smokes this is fantastic! Chicken marsala is my favorite dish to order at an italian restaurant, and this is a great, easy dish that tastes just like it does when you eat out! EVERYONE had seconds. I served it with mashed potatoes, but I think it will be great with some penne. THANK YOU!

Chicken Bog

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
This was a PERFECT meal for a snow day! Nice and hearty! I did not add the italian seasonings after so many people discouraged it. I took bits of recommendations from multiple reviews, and mine came out fantastic. I boiled chicken breasts (boneless) with 2 bay leaves, 2 garlic cloves, and about half an onion, chopped. After about 30 min (since I was using boneless chick), I removed the chicken and shredded it. I measured out 4 1/2 cups of chicken broth and discarded the rest. To the broth I added the cubed sausage, shredded chicken, 1 1/2 cup rice, a TON of black pepper, some Mrs Dash seasoning and a little bit of Lawry's Seasoned Salt. I brought it to boil and then lowered it to simmer for about 30 min. It was DELISH!

The Best Meatballs You'll Ever Have

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
These were great! I omitted the red pepper due to being afraid it was going to be too spicy for the kids. I used the crushed croutons, but I think next time I will use breadcrumbs. I made a batch and froze a batch for future use!

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
Oh my stars this is yummy. Made it for Christmas morning and it has earned all the rave reviews! I bought a loaf of Texas toast and used that because it is thicker. It took longer than 10 minutes for all the blueberries to burst, but it was well worth the wait. This might be our new traditional Christmas morning meal!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
This is just pure heaven on a pie plate. Seriously -- This is the BEST apple pie I have ever tasted. And I love apple pie. I used the pillsbury refrig pie crusts and added on tsp of vanilla and sprinkled some cinnamon in with the apple mixture. Instead of layering it, I just mixed it all together and poured it in the pie crust. DIVINE. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

It smelled delicious as it was cooking, and I thought it was going to be heavenly. But it was way too sweet. I ended up tossing the leftovers. Bummer!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
Made this last night for dinner and it was a HUGE hit with all of us. It was my first time ever making chicken pot pie, because for some reason I thought it would be hard! I did not include the celery because we don't care for it, and I didn't have the celery seed on hand so I left it out. To make up for the missing celery, I threw in some frozen corn and diced up a potato. I made the sauce exactly as written, and thought it was the perfect amount and consistency. I did just mix it all together instead of layering it on top of the vegetable mix, though. This is GREAT. My husband said to put it on the top of the repeat list, and he was upset that he couldn't take the leftovers today for lunch because of a lunch meeting. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
I'm not sure what happened, but for some reason this was just NOT a hit in my family. It got better as we ate more but the italian dressing/cream cheese flavor was jut a bit "off." I don't think I'll make again.

Beef Tips

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2010
This was good. I didn't add any salt and pepper (let everyone do it as preferred at the table) and didn't add all of the soy sauce based on previous reviews. I cooked fresh garlic with the onion and dredged the meat with flour first but the rest of it followed the recipe as written. It was way too runny - even with the flour! Next time will add corn starch or something. The flavor was delicious, though. I served it with mashed potatoes but will use egg noodles next time.

Baked Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
WOW! This is fantastic and SOOOO easy! I used Catalina dressing instead of french because that's what I had on hand. My son said it tasted like sweet and sour chicken but better - everyone finished their entire plate. I also used 5 thin chicken breasts because of our taste preferences but seriously - this is now going to be a permanent part of our rotation! THANK YOU!
