Cheese Sauce Over Cauliflower

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
THIS RECIPE GOT 5 STARS AS SOON AS I SERVED IT!! Great, so say the very least..... My husbnad said it was creamy, but not TOO cheezy...very light...He said also that it looked like a recipe from a T.V. show..It was served just like in the recipe, just with cheese over it and paprike and parsley, he said PRESENTATION WAS VERY OUTSTANDING, but i didn't do anything but serve it as I would anything with cheese sause over it. He's been raving about it since I made it - great recipe, will surely ADD IT TO MY " PERMANENT RECIPES BOOK"...THX FOR PUTTING IT ON SITE.

Old Plantation Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
I'v used this recipe so many time because everyone raves over the rolls. There isn't anything in any store to compare to these. It is my #1 most requested food at gatherings. If you've never made them, at LEAST try it once, they are excellent. It does take a few hours (waiting mostly) for dough to rise, but well worth every minute. Thanks GrannyRob for making me such at hit at something I'd never done before, (making rolls that is). Thanks for submitting the recipe!!!

Hubby didn't like it, taking it off the favorites list. I liked it just the same though.....he's very picky, it did taste like my mother's gravy...

Fast and Easy Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
I DID CHANGE IT JUST A BIT AND IT STILL TURNED OUT WONDERFUL!!!! It was like a pie of sorts....... I didn't have the bisquits BUT I DID HAVE 2 pie crusts in the freezer, so I used that. I first buttered the pan, then put the first pie crust down, and baked it for about 30 minutes, then took it out, put in the hamburger mixture and then put the other pie crust on top and then cooked it for 30 minutes more and still it wasn't quite done enough so I put the oven on Broil for 10 minutes, it came out WONDERFUL........I actually hate anything made with hamburger meat but I really liked this for some reason, maybe because meat was cooked in oven, it was so tender. The crust was so delicious, I dare anyone to make this dish in this way and say it's not good...........WE LOVED IT, !!!!!!!!!

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
This dish would have been perfect but I strayed from the recipe and added 2 cans of CHOPPED clams instead of just minced clams.......they were very gritty.... NOW I SEE WHY YOU HAVE TO USE THE TINY ONES....We just like more clams instead of potatoes.......but next time we'll just use the tiny clams ONLY....it was great all the same, A+ IN OUR BOOKS!

Fried Pork Chop

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2006
FIRST TIME TO FRY pork chops, and they really were like grandmother's/Moma's!!! Who'd ever think it was that simple. I just added about 1 tbsp. of Lemon Pepper & a pinch or two of Parsley for a bit of color. STILL, I don't think anyone can mess up this recipe (Normally, I can). They were "tender" too, mine are usually tough... The only thing missing was the recipe for the gravy following, Which is my next project, MAKING GRAVY....lol BUT I GIVE THIS RECIPE A TRIPLE AAA+++ and then some.......Thanks for submitting it......YYYYYUUUUUMMMMM!!!!!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
Well, I thought it was delish. My hubby said it was WAY too salty. I was easy to make except for the WRAPPING part, and toothpicks. I had to put a ton of toothpicks in it to make the chicken wrap around the ham/cheese, at least 8 per wrapped chicken. I beat the poor breasts to death and still they weren't big enough, Next time I'll get some that are already PRE-CUT AND PRE-Stretched out or something because most of the cheese on the insides melted out before I got to serve the little darlings.... My fault, not the person who submitted the recipe. Thanks again, I'll surly try this one again but with bigger breasts.

Orange Balls I

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
This recipe was so good that my mother (who eats veggies and only healthy stuff) couldn't quit eating them, which is strange for her. Everyone loved them, this is really EASY to make the ingredients are easy to get, you probably have them in your pantry or frig already. Try this one out, I'm sure you will not be disappointed..............

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
Nothing about this recipe melts well, I had to add so many things to it just to get it back on track so I wouldn't waste what little ingredients that I had on hand at all. I'll surly try another alfredo recipe instead of this one.

Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2005
This was so easy and it puffs up like a souffle'. I didn't have any Yukon Gold potatoes on hand so I used 1/2 a box of instant potatoes. I cooked the potatoes with water only in the microwave then added the ingredients of the recipe, then baked.... it was a hit!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2005
You were right, this will be a new tradition for our family. It was superb dispite my attempt at trying to lazily BLEND the potatoes. It ended up looking pureed but the crusty topping saved it and it was so great, it was gone in record time. Presentation was A+, it looked like something out of Bon Appetit magazine. Wonderful dish to say the least. Thanks for submitting it.

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2005
My hubby usually hates deserts but when he tried this one, he ate 3 of them and then said I could make this everyday if I like. I used a simple cream cheese frosting (from ar.com) if anyone cares to use it: Ingred.... 1)6T Cream cheese (equals 4oz) 2)1/3 C butter, softened 3)1 1/3 C. Powdered sugar 4)1 T. Cream (whipping or heavy). 5)1 t. vanilla extract Blend butter & cream cheese together then add rest of ingredients, it's very velvety. I had about 1/2 of a cup leftover after frosting the banana bars.

French Herb Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
This was so easy to make, looked nice as well. I added a tad too much butter, I brushed on butter after it was made then added a little more to each piece (which I shouldn't had done). The inside is very doughy that is why I shouldn't have put on extra butter, I only messed up a few slices though. Next time I would add Cheese or another filling to it, You really couldn't taste the onions or garlic much, maybe a little something extra to spice it up, I guess next time I'll see what's in the frig/cabinet when cooking and go from there. This was the first French Bread I'v ever made and I have to say, I really liked it, this is a good recipe, just needs a few modifications to my "SPICY" Louisiana Taste buds, haha! I will most likely use this one again, thanks for submitting.

Very Special Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
My husband said it was a bit too sweet for his liking. I thought it did taste alot like restaurant style sauces though. It was very thick but in the recipe it doesn't say to drain the meat, I would because in the end after the 3hours of simmering, there was alot of grease on the top of the sauce that I had to drain off. All in all It is one of the best ones that I'v tried to make so far but still isn't that GREAT one yet.

Grilled Pizza Wraps

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
This recipe was really fast and tasty, in fact my husband said it looked like fun cooking them so he came in and took over the cooking. We also made Mexican Pizzas just swaping out pizza swauce for taco sauce and we mixed chopped sirloin with taco seasoning packet and used that for the meat instead of the pepporoni's. So we ended up having Italian for lunch and Mexican for supper. This would be great for a little family project for the kids. I had three grown men making them and having a blast. Thanks for the recipe it was wonderful.
