Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
it was pretty good. a smidge bland, but adding some extra salt/pepper afterwards really helped. i took the advice of others and added 1/2c of milk. i have no idea how you could make this without it! it would be SO dry. and i think the breadcrumbs listed is a perfect amount. maybe other people are using a smaller cooking container so it seems like too much for them? not sure.

these were yummy! i added in mini chocolate chips and chopped maraschino cherries (dried off with a paper towel) to the batter and it adds a little extra yumminess! :)

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
these were awesome. here is what i did: used a banana cake mix and baked it in a 8" square pan. once it was done baking, i let it cool in the pan for 15 min, then dumped it onto a cooling rack to cool for probably 30 more minutes. i took off the corners/sides of the cake because they are too hard. then i crumbled the cake into my kitchenaid bowl and added 8 oz. of homemade chocolate ganache cooled, not hot. using the dough hook on my kitchen aid, i whipped up the mixture in no time. i didnt even need to refrigerate the mixture. i could easily make the balls. it wasn't sticky at all, it was perfect. so, i made all the balls, then put them in the freezer for 2 hours. i took 25 of them out at a time (so the others could stay frozen for easy dipping), and dipped them into the melted hershey dark chocolate chips with the toothpicks. i twisted the toothpicks out, then i drizzled on some white chocolate on top. they were AWESOME. the banana/chocolate mixture is a good one lol... we're not fans of the store-bought frosting, so thats why i used the homemade ganache. these turned out soooo yummy :)

Peanut Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
this was super good! we also added in chicken and zucchini and doubled the sauce mixture to make sure we would have enough to cover our extra ingredients and it was fabulous!

Joe's Incredible Bacon Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
okay, we just tried it, and it was good!!! (we added cool whip to the top. see below) i followed the recipe exactly (cutting it in half though, for one pie instead of two) except for the pumpkin. i just used 1/4 can of pumpkin instead of cubed pumpkin. we also cut the bacon into bite-sized bits to place in the pie, rather than 7 whole strips. everything else i kept the same, and it turned out yummy. my husband and i both felt it needed to be a bit sweeter though to match the salty bacon. overall the flavor of the pie was more savory, rather than balanced between sweet and savory. we added cool whip to the top and that gave it the right amount of sweetness that it needed before having to tweak the recipe :) overall though, it was good!!! :D very interesting flavor combo and we liked it!

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
my first review got deleted for whatever reason, but i gave this one star because it was terrible. didn't taste anything like tonkatsu sauce. it tasted like spicy ketchup.
