Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
We didn't really care for this. It didn't taste bad, but it really just tasted like pot roast. I would just make pot roast if I wanted this flavor. I am going to stick with my regular stroganoff recipe.

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2013
This was delicious! I followed the recipe with a few changes. Added a clove of garlic, and 1 potato because I didn't have enough broccoli. I also cooked it in one pot. Sautéed onion/celery in butter, then added flour, then water/broccoli and cooked. Then added milk at the end. It was awesome!! My 3 kids loved it, and my 18 month old ate 2 bowls and then licked her bowl clean! Thanks for a great recipe!

Coconut Cream Pie VIII

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2013
This was sooo good!! My daughter proclaimed it the best pie ever! I mixed 1 1/2 cups of the coconut into custard, also the extra egg yolk with the eggs. Also, I made a graham cracker crust. I didn't think I even liked coconut cream pie, but it was so good we are all fighting over the last piece! Thank you so much for this yummy recipe!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
This recipe was great!! It did taste just like the restaurant version. My usual recipe ends up greasy from all the cheese, but this was nice and creamy and not greasy at all. It was very rich, but perfect for a party where it can be shared by many. I used Classico Roasted Garlic Alfredo, and only roasted 2 cloves of garlic. I also used the whole block of cream cheese, and eyeballed cheeses, prob used a little more than called for. So good! You have to try it!

Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2012
5 stars with the following changes: Like other reviewers, I cut baking powder and soda in half, used only 3 eggs, only 1 cup of sugar, and increased pumpkin- I used 2 1/4 cup because that is how much puree I got from my sugar pumpkin. They are so yummy and moist! Still kind of cake like, but I love it! The frosting was perfect as is, IMO. Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
Great recipe, but WAY too sweet. I cut the sugar in half and used just 2 shakes of cinnamon and it was much better. I used half pears and half braeburns the first time and all McIntosh the second time.

Deluxe Chocolate Marshmallow Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
My whole family loved these bars! My husband took some to work at the Navy base, and the guys there loved them too. I baked in a 9x13 but didn't find the bottom to be cakey, it was perfect. Did have to bake bottom for longer. Only thing I changed was I didn't have enough choc chips, so I used 1/3 C choc chips, and 2/3 cup Nutella. This was delicious and I think made the top layer more creamy which we loved. Thanks for the recipe!

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
Fantastic muffins!!!! I used 1/2 wheat, 1/2 white flour, omitted raisons and mixed 1c walnuts in instead, used 2 whole eggs instead, added 3tb of flax seed, and added a bit of brown sugar to wheat germ for topping instead of walnuts. So good! my whold family gobbled them, even my husband who usually is weird about "healthy" ingredients.

Spinach Basil Pesto

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
Really fantastic pesto!! My whole family loved it. I made it exactly as written, except didn't include lemon zest and used almonds instead of pine nuts. Pine nuts are really expensive! Worked great, use it as sauce on pizza, pasta, and in recipes that call for pesto. Freezes great in ice cube tray!

Lemon Pie Bars

My kids loved these lemon bars! I also liked them, but think I would follow other reviewers suggestions and double the filling next time, they were a little light on filling. Made exactly as directed.

This was absolutely fantastic!!! Reminded me and my husband of the carnitas at Chipotle. Sooo good, I'll be making this over and over again. Used a pork sirloin roast instead and didn't add last can of chiles.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
My family liked this recipe. I think I put in a little too much green pepper, so next time I will put in a little less. The sauce was very sweet, even after I added a splash of liquid smoke, and 1 tsp of Worchestershire sauce. I also added about a 1/4 cup of water while it simmered. But overall, a hit!

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Great recipe!! My kids loved them. I use whole wheat flour instead of the white, reduce brown sugar to half a cup, also 1/4 c applesauce and 1/4 cup oil. I used dark chocolate covered PlumSweet prune bits this time instead of raisins, but my kids love them with just about anything mixed in!
