Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
Made this for Christmas dinner and it was 10 stars plus. Not certain ever had a piece of meat turn out this good. A meat thermometer is a must. Might cut the searing temperature back as suggested by others (the kitchen was a smokey mess and the oven is really a mess)... but the results were phenominal. Thank You Chef Mike

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2013
Have tried this 2 ways ..as written and with my modifications .. As written for me its a 3.5 stars...with a few modification for personal taste it 4.5 .. hence the 4 star rating. It is flavorful and definately needs to refridgerate over night for best flavor. The recipe calls for Mayo .. dont use Miracle Whip. My Modifications .. cut the pasta to 2 cups , eggs to 2 , and added 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt for a creamier texture .. i prefer my mac salad just a touch on the sweet side so add 2 packets of splenda ... next time I am going to try it cutting the mustard back too.

Easy White Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2013
Positively Awesome ! Made a few modifications after reading others reviews, personal preference I used chicken quarters and prepared them minus the skin in a pot of boiling water heavily seasoned with garlic and onion powder , some salt , pepper and 2 bay leaves... which later turned out to be the chicken broth used in recipe, along with some left over , 6 cans of beans with 80% of liquid drained , 1 can of corn, drained (i pureed 3 cans of the beans in the food processor as well as the can of corn for thickening),and cut the cayenne in half , same amount of green chilis and cheese as called for, served with jalopeno slices on side and sour cream.... and it was Positively to Die For .. Easily Resturant Quality . Great Recipe .. Thanks !

Salsa I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
Having made this twice (once as written and once following other reviews) , if you like really mild salsa... as written is great , for my preferences it really needs a red onion finely diced, and either 1 can of rotel, and 1 jalopeno with or without seeds seeds, a touch of sugar or sweetner, and just a bit of lime juice, along with garlic and cilantro with a quick spin thru the processor. They make the Rotel with lime juice and cilantro already in it which i will try next time.

Great flavor and something different. Followed recipe with the exception that I used half light mayo and half miracle whip light for the dressing. Will make again and might add some diced bread and butter pickles to it

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2013
was really good ... somewhat a "busy" recipe" but turned out good ...... have no no idea who took the pic of the sauce.. but turns out much darker but flavor is great .. I did use "cheap" regular chili powder but had plenty of ZAP ....as well as AP flour I like the fact you control the sodium and heat ...was really good 5 star on flavor 4 star on effort but will give it a 5

German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
Very Good and modified it slightly per suggestions the 2nd time with slightly more regular vinegar and diced sweet onion for my own preference. The base recipe is great as well. For any potato salad I always cube the potatoes with skin on and cook them that way, a great time saver

California Tortilla Pizzas

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
Tasty and lighter than regular pizza , Found that to get everything cooked to my preference, had to cook the tortillas first , then take what ever veggies (onions green pepper etc) thinly sliced, place on a plate, cover with a paper towel and micro to soften them slightly or to your preference (its faster), I then add just a very small amount of spaghetti sauce then the cheese to the tortilla, then the veggies, a bit more cheese, then spices or anything else you like and micro until cheese is melted. I have had better results using flat bread, but either one works .

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
Should be a 10 Star ! Only things I modified were instead of stout beer used normal beer and baby carrots instead of shredding..... Something you might find helpful is instead of putting the seasoning on top of the meat I took a coffee filter 4cup and emptied the seasoning packet in the filter and tied it with a bread tie and placed it in the water. It adds addition flovering to everything without having the seasonings stuck in your teeth . Great Recipe !
