Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I had never made cranberry sauce before, so I was a little nervous. I followed the recipe exactly, and it was so good. I wouldn't change a thing. Everyone raved about it and my kids even ate it plain! I'm adding this to my regular Thanksgiving recipes.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

This was the best turkey that I've ever had! It was perfectly done and very flavorful and moist. Definitely a keeper in my book.

Chicken and Mushroom Saute

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
I doubled this for my family of six and made a couple of changes. I used fresh mushrooms and sauteed an onion with them. I also used chicken stock instead of the water/bouillon mix. This was yummy and easy. Even my kids liked it!

This was pretty good. I added onion and garlic. My kids ate it all up (even the broccoli)! A winner at my house.

Lasagna Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
This is so good, even my kids like it! I saute the chicken in onion and garlic and add mushrooms to the sauce. I have also made this with linguine noodles once when I was out of lasagna noodles, and it was just as good. Definitely a keeper in my book.

Bumbleberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
This is my new favorite pie! I left out the apples, because we don't like them, and it was still delicious. The only thing I would do differently next time is to pre-cook the bottom crust for a few minutes. Mine wasn't as brown on the bottom as I would have liked.

Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
This was so easy to make and so yummy. Mine cooked in about an hour and 15 minutes, but I was watching so it didn't burn! My husband and kids ate one loaf before it was even cool! I will definitely make this again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
This had an interesting flavor, but when I tried to add the 'dumplings' all I got were clumps of slimy dough. Might try again, though, maybe I didn't do it right.

Campfire Green Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2004
This is really good. I used frozen green beans that I thawed in warm water. I didn't miss the "can" flavor of the other! My family really liked this; I will make it again.

Grilled Pork Steaks with Lemon Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
So easy. Very good flavor. I gave it four stars because I marinated mine overnight before I cooked it. I don't think it would have been quite as good without marinating.
