Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
This is a great recipe! Probably the best snickerdoodles I've ever made. My only complaint is that my cookies were pretty small and I only got 2 1/2 dozen, so the yield is a little off unless the cookies are supposed to be tiny. I'll still use this recipe, I'll just adjust the amount.

Campfire Skillet Breakfast

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
This was ok. Needs salt and pepper. If I make it again, I will partially cook the potatoes before I put them in the skillet; hopefully they won't stick as much that way.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
This is amazing! I left out the tomato sauce because I didn't have any and only used 1 tablespoon of sugar. My whole family raved about this chicken. I will be adding this to my regular rotation. Thank you!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly and these were pretty good. The dough was really good, but the cookies tasted just like the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I usually make. I will be sticking with my regular recipe.

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
I thought this was just ok. I didn't have enough heavy cream, so I used 3/4 cup cream and 1/4 cup milk. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. My kids said it tasted like pizza sauce, but they ate it! I might try it again with some modifications to better fit our tastes.

Tortellini Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
This was pretty good. I added spinach and mushrooms. I think next time I won't add the sausage because we just didn't like the flavor. This will definitely go in my regular rotation!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Oh my word... this was so good. The only change I made was to only use 1/2 the "honey mustard" recipe. I served it with wild rice and salad. My family gobbled this up and called it the best dinner ever!

Hawaii Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
As it is written, I am giving this recipe 3 stars. I didn't think it had enough flavor and definitely not enough sauce. However, I have used sliced, boneless chicken breasts (not baked) and changed the sauce measurements to 2 Tablespoons and added garlic and sesame oil. I have also added other vegetables that I've had on hand. That makes it a totally different recipe, but my family loves it no matter what!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
This was so good! I halved the recipe for my family of 6, and we didn't have any leftovers. I used a round casserole dish. Also, I saved 1/3 of the refried beans and spread a little between 2 tortillas and sandwiched them together, so I had only three layers. My kids and picky husband couldn't think of one bad thing to say!:) This definitely goes in my regular rotation.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I had never made cranberry sauce before, so I was a little nervous. I followed the recipe exactly, and it was so good. I wouldn't change a thing. Everyone raved about it and my kids even ate it plain! I'm adding this to my regular Thanksgiving recipes.

Chicken and Mushroom Saute

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
I doubled this for my family of six and made a couple of changes. I used fresh mushrooms and sauteed an onion with them. I also used chicken stock instead of the water/bouillon mix. This was yummy and easy. Even my kids liked it!

Lasagna Alfredo

This is so good, even my kids like it! I saute the chicken in onion and garlic and add mushrooms to the sauce. I have also made this with linguine noodles once when I was out of lasagna noodles, and it was just as good. Definitely a keeper in my book.

Bumbleberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
This is my new favorite pie! I left out the apples, because we don't like them, and it was still delicious. The only thing I would do differently next time is to pre-cook the bottom crust for a few minutes. Mine wasn't as brown on the bottom as I would have liked.
