About this Cook
I love to cook! I have been cooking dinners since I was 12 years old. My family always picks me to be the host for the holidays. I can make it all from A to Z.
My favorite things to cook
Some of my favorite things to cook is Beef Stroganoff, Pork BBQ Ribs, Russian Borscht and Thanksgiving dinner! My first husband and I used to smoke alot of foods for parties and family gatherings one the most diffeent things we made was smoked cream cheese...delicious!Always had quite a bit of requests for this appy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner at the age of 12. I love cooking that meal more than eating it!
My cooking triumphs
Replicating my grandmothers Russian Borscht! This is my absolute favorite meal with fresh baked Russian pierogies!Everything from scratch!
My cooking tragedies
Letting my sister assist with a dinner for our boyfriends when I was delayed at work, I had her start the dinner and she burned the tomato sauce. I told her to replace it with a jar of purchased sauce and she did that by mixing it in with the burnt sauce. God bless those two guys that evening, they both eventually became our husbands...hers cooked dinner for them from that time forward!

Pineapple Glaze for Ham
At last minute for Easter dinner, I had to use crushed pineapples and some maple praline syrup. Had no cherries! I purreed the pinapple and cooked it with the brown sugar and syrup, i also added a splash of light syrup frommed canned sweet potato . The glaze was awesome! The ham came out moist and we had a delicious dipping sauce. The pineapple falvor just gives it that extra kick. Everyone enjoyed the ham amd liked the flavor

Mom's Italian Beef Barley Soup
I substituted the salt laden buillion with salt-free buillion. The flavor was alittlle bland but it saved over 4000 mg of sodium. I also added fresh sliced mushrooms and sliced baby carrots. Over all it was delicious!
