San Francisco Style Bagels

Never made bagels before and these were excellent! 1 lb of bread flour was about 3-1/2 cups, but did add a bit more as they were still a bit too moist. Next time, I'd use less salt in the water bath and adjust by adding more honey. It is important to make sure your baking sheet is prepared with parchment as once you do the egg wash they will otherwise stick (even with some cornmeal. I forgot to do this on one sheet (whoops), but got them off while they were still hot. Next time I may experiment by adding cheeses or changing using half wheat flour to "attempt" to add some more nutrition to the bagel.

Mall Pretzels

These came out very good! I think if you were were using cinnamon, it may be best to include some of that when rolling the dough, as I didn't find the cinnamon sugar on top to be as good. The butter is definitely a must to provide the mall pretzel taste. Great also to top with sesame seeds too. I also served plain ones with some honey mustard sauce or a cheese sauce, and the cinnamon sugar ones with some warm caramel. Very good!

Sour Cream Banana Bread

I made this last night and it came out great! Some had indicated the cinnamon sugar mix on top ended up darkening the top quite a bit, so I used just cinnamon and it added a nice extra kick. In lieu of nuts, I added mini chocolate chips. Came out wonderful and incredibly moist, which you sometimes don't get in a banana bread (ironically). Will definitely be making this again!

Beef Bourguignonne

The recipe was very tasty. Even with covering the lid, I found the carrots weren't tender enough and would probably recommend cooking it a bit longer next time.

Pesto Hamburgers

I didn't use the red peppers, as I am not a fan of them -- but this is a great recipe. Prepared pesto works wonderful. It'd be nice if there was a "recommended" prepared pesto brand for this specific recipe, as I am sure many of the reviews are based on different pestos. That can "make or break" the recipe! For a little extra fun, add a little bit of pesto to the burger while mixing the meat getting more of the spices than oil. Makes it very flavorful throughout.
