Creamy Cheesy Spinach Dip

I loved this. I rarely make spinach dip because it has so much mayo, but this is a better alternative, and very, very tasty. I halved it, used mozarella and another cheese I had in the fridge, and served it as a side dish with sausages and macaroni. Unlike the other reader, I actually added a bit more onion and garlic. I think I'll experiment and add other ingredients, such as carrots or nuts, in the future.

Mad Hatter Salad

I really liked this salad. It is quite easy to make and is packed with healthy veggies and vitamins (though the ramen noodles are not very healthy....). I couldn't believe that so little sauce could add so much taste. You could lessen the amount of sugar and oil and the salad won't suffer.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Though this dip looked good when I brought it to our school potluck (I garnished it with sliced black olives), once people dipped into it it looked rather mushy and the layers blended together and did not look that appetizing. It was tasty but nothing to rave about.

French Onion Soup I

Maybe the broth I used was not strong enough, but I found this soup to be bland, and the red wine made it a rather unappealing color. I have made French Onion soup before, and it always came out tastier than this particular recipe.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Very easy, very good, my children couldn't wait for it to be done. I put quartered potatoes and apples, seasoned with olive oil, salt and pepper in the pan along with the chicken. Next time I will try the lemon and garlic recommended by others.

Baked Lemon-Basil Pasta

It was fine, but a bit bland and too lemony. I will make it again, but use 1/3 the lemon, more basil, spinach, garlic and salt. I also liked the idea of some other reviewes of adding cream cheese to make it more creamy.

Maple Salmon

I was excited about trying this recipe because I love all the ingredients in it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the taste. I did not like the maple flavor with the salmon and soy sauce at all. In addition, in my opinion it needed lemon to tone down the sweetness and saltiness. Next time I will return to honey and dijon, or just to lemon and garlic.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Bpth my children and my friends liked this dish. I diced real tomatoes and added Italian spices. Like many other reviewers, I doubled the recipe, pureed it with a hand-held blender, and used half and half instead of cream. It wss a bit runny and I will definitely add tomato paste next time.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

I made this for my family yesterday afternoon, and loved it. It was easy, fun and quick to make. It is even better the second day. I did not have beef or chicken broth, so used bullion cubes which made it too salty, but still good. Next time I will make the broth myself and am sure it will be even better.

Grandmother's Carrot Casserole

I made this for Thanksgiving dinner and my family enjoyed it. I used regular carrots and made the home-made mayo as per one of the suggestions. I also reduced the sugar as many reviewers suggested. I will definitely make it again.
