I was disappointed, as I thought this would turn out really good. I followed everything to the t, and even took some tips from other reviews such as cutting down on the cornstarch. The sauce probably would be fine without any cornstarch at all. I doubled this recipe for my large family, and only added half the amount of cornstarch and with a 1:1.5 ratio (powder to water). The sauce had a great flavor, but the consistency was like jelly. The breading fell right off when added to the sauce. I would consider making this again without doing any of the breading, and just having the chicken in the sauce.
