World's Best Lasagna

Such a great lasagna! I made it with fresh semolina pasta and I can tell the best treat ever! The sauce is delightful and can be used as spagetti topping too. Will make it again and again!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
This is a great recipe, with some changes: Use only 1/4 cup of sugar if you want a salad not a dessert. 1/2 cup sugar is way too much. I used my own homemade mayonnaise instead of dressing. I increased the salt to 1/2 teaspoon. I added 3 tablespoons of yogurt and omit the oil! If you follow the way I modified this recipe then you will have a bowl of cloeslaw much much better tasting than those fried chicken restaurants. Enjoy!

Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
It's a great recipe. You can actually make chicken adobo, Filipino style chicken with these ingredients with addition of 1 cup vinegar, some water and bay leaves. Cook everything in a pot for 30 minutes and open the lid continue simmering until most liquid evaporates. It is delish!

This is a very good recipe, turned out just fine. But I think it is too sweet so next time I will omit the honey in frosting.

Cream of Celery Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
As a celery lover I loved this soup and will make it again and again. But I made some changes though. I didnt strain the veggies, I made it pure with a handblender. I cooked the butter and flour seperately until they got light brown and add them as the last thing... Yum yum yum. Thank you for the recipe.

Adobo Chicken with Ginger

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
I love adobo and this is a great recipe. For those non-filipinos who think the soy sauce-vinegar is too heavy here is my solution: put 1 TBS soy sauce and 1 TBS apple cider vinegar in 1/2 cup and fill the rest with water. Use this mixture for 2 boneless skinlless chicken drumsticks (abour 1/2 pound). Enjoy!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
WONDERFUL ! I followed the recipe exactly the way it is and it turned out great. I loved the moist muffin like texture and dense banana flavour in every bite. I baked for 50 minutes though. That was pretty enough. I didnt want to over bake. Just enough for a toothpick come out clean.

In-a-Pinch Ketchup

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
I'll never buy ketchup again. This is great. Considering the reviews I made some changes, so this recipe is the basic. Here is how I made it: *1lb (450-500gr) fresh tomatoes *2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar *1 teaspoon salt *1 pinch of each: black pepper, chilli powder, cumin, red pepper *4 tablespoons brown sugar *2 garlic cloves. Put them all together in a food processor and blend well. Simmer on low heat for 45-50 minutes, occasionally stir. Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce. It turns out much much better than commercial ketchup. Also can be used as pizza sauce with the addition of oregano and olive oil.
