I'll never buy ketchup again. This is great. Considering the reviews I made some changes, so this recipe is the basic. Here is how I made it:
*1lb (450-500gr) fresh tomatoes
*2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
*1 teaspoon salt
*1 pinch of each: black pepper, chilli powder, cumin, red pepper
*4 tablespoons brown sugar
*2 garlic cloves.
Put them all together in a food processor and blend well. Simmer on low heat for 45-50 minutes, occasionally stir. Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce. It turns out much much better than commercial ketchup. Also can be used as pizza sauce with the addition of oregano and olive oil.
