I have been married for 5 years and have 1 beautiful son, with another on the way. Between being the mom, wife, and full time worker I don't get much "me" time so since I need to cook anyway it's become a hobby for me :o)
My favorite things to cook
I love, love, love breads and casseroles. Typically the less ingredients the better. I prefer to cook on a budget.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My nana was a fantastic cook, she never wrote anything down and always cooked with what she had. My mom is similiar, I hope to have the same skills one day.
My cooking triumphs
Getting my toddler son to sit at the table and actually eat a meal that I have cooked :)
My cooking tragedies
My first experience with making beef stroganoff wasn't the greatest. When my husband and I were first together I made it, but used waaaay to much sour cream. He ate it (like a nice guy), but was sick for the next few days. Haven't made it since and my husband hasn't asked :)

Baked Ziti I
Awesome! This was fantastic! I wasn't so sure about adding the sour cream but it turned out great. I substituted the ground beef for mild italian sausage because that is what I had on hand.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread
This was really good, my husband pretty much ate the whole loaf within an hour of it being out of the oven. Next time I will have to double the recipe so that the rest of us get more than 1 slice. My husband said it is the best banana bread he has ever had. This recipe is a keeper!!

Easy Tuna Casserole
I am not a tuna casserole fan. This was really good! I think it was because of the cheddar cheese and the french fried onions. YUM!! Will make again. I added about half cup of the french fried onions and a can of mixed veggies into the tuna mixture.
