Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
One word for this dish "wow." My whole family loved this dish and now it goes directly to my favorite list on our keeper book. However, I decreased the amount of my lemon juice to 2 tablespoon only, and as suggested by the others I increased the amount of butter and garlic. We were not disappointed at all. Everyone loved it. Will try to cook this next time replacing the butter with olive oil for a healthier dish. Thanks Eireann =)

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
My kids said "yum" =) However, I will double the ground beef next time as my kids are complaining that there's only few of it. To add more taste to this dish I added seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder, meat magic and 1/4 Worcestershire sauce suggested by the other reviewers. I also doubled the ketchup. Will do this again ... thanks Jacquie! =)

Baked Potato

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
Just made this today, however, I followed one reviewer since I don't have much time. She states to poke a bunch of holes on the potato then I put the potato first in the microwave for 10 minutes then bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees F. Thank you Faye!

Restaurant Style Beef and Broccoli

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
Just ate this for lunch ... OMG! This is the best Chinese Dish I've ever tried on this site. It surely is an instant hit in my family. Even my daughter who is the pickiest eater in the world loved it. Thanks Diane for this wonderful meal! I followed the other reviewer's recommendation of stirring 1/2 teaspoon baking soda on the beef strips overnight. Marinated the beef mixture for one hour. Then followed the entire recipe to the dot. Except for the meat, I used rib eye steak, since that's what I have and used white wine instead of sherry. The meat was so tender and the whole dish is so delish. Yum! Yum!

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
This dish is good ... was expecting it to be better though. Followed the recipe exactly as it was written. However, I have no stewed tomatoes in my cupboard and have crushed tomatoes, so I used that instead. Followed the other reviewer's suggestion, added chicken broth and onion too. I halved the chili powder as well. Next time I cook this I will replace the chicken broth with red wine as others suggested. Then will follow the original recipe of 2 teaspoons chili powder. Thank you Nancy! =)

Sea Bass Cuban Style

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
This dish is very tasty and the flavors blended very well. I used tilapia instead of sea bass but it still tastes very good. I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes, next time I do this I will cut it down to 1 can only and will add salt to cut down the sour taste of it. I used chicken broth instead of the white wine. I didn't put cilantro because I don't have it. All in all, this recipe is delish! I will definitely cook this again. Thank you Kiki!

Crispy Fish Fillets

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
We liked this dish except for my husband. For him, this is just an ordinary meal. But personally, I loved it so as my 3 kids. I followed the original recipe I just added the flour. Dredged the fillet to the flour first, then dipped it to the egg mixture and added garlic powder to it, then to the mashed potato flakes. I will definitely do this again. Thank you Kimber (=

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
We ate this for supper and I guess the recipe's not ours to keep. We won't make this again as my whole family was not happy when we ate this. There wasn't enough sauce, and I only baked 4 chops.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
The meat of the steak was ok, but needed to add more seasoning though. The only disappointment in making this is the sauce. The taste of the ketchup is overpowering, maybe next time I will replace the ketchup with brown gravy mix. Thanks for the recipe Kelly.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
The taste of this is just ok. The sauce was even thicker when I stirred all the ingredients in the saucepan, however, when I transferred the sauce in the baking dish the thickness disappeared so I got all the sauce again and stirred everything up on the saucepan. I guess next time when I do this again, I will raise to 1 1/2 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon ginger to add up a bit on the taste. Will definitely do this again next time with a bit modification I guess. Thank you Marian!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2012
A new hearty and a keeper meal for my family. This is delightful dish that we can either have it with noodles or rice. Such a yummy dish. Made this healthy meal by cutting the butter into 1/4 cup and 1/4 cup olive oil. Halved my Dijon Mustard, tripled my chopped garlic, doubled my fresh parsley and a splash of white wine. This is such a superb dinner for my family. Thanks Kimber!

Tonkatsu / Katsu Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
I just paired this with tonkatsu for dinner and it was ok. The only thing that I don't like is that the pepper taste is too strong Probably I'll tone it down to 3/4 tsp next time just like what I did to the garlic powder. Adding 3/4 tsp onion powder makes it good. And also not to mention, I also added a little bit of sugar as what other reviewers mentioned. Thank you Soifua =)

Tonkatsu - Asian-Style Pork Chop

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
Yum! I just made this for dinner and paired it with katsu sauce recipe that I found on this website too. My family loved it so much. In the process of cooking I added flour with seasoned salt, pepper and garlic powder. Egg mixture was not enough for the 8 chops so I doubled it as well as the panko crumbs with red pepper flakes. After dipping the chops I let them rest in the freezer for an hour or two. Then I fried it in hot vegetable oil with a splash of sesame oil. Have my fire set on low then fry each side for about 5 minutes until golden brown. The only thing that I regret about is I forgot to season the chops with garlic powder and ground ginger, I'll do that again next time though. Thank you Shin98 =)

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
This kind of recipe inspires me. I'm a late bloomer when it comes to cooking but then this kind of recipe makes me feel like I've been cooking for so long. The taste of this is incredibly delicious!!!! My husband and kids love it so much that they just let me taste only a few. I followed the recipe to the dot, however, the only change I made was I added salt and pepper and baked it at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes turning once. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe Ashlee =)

Chinese Pepper Steak

Followed the recipe as is and cooked this for lunch with rice. It was okay but it lacked zip. I think I would add something like balsamic vinegar next time. Thank you MrsWilson =)
