Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
Nice! added more hot sauce, we like it hotter! Put some onion powder in the Buffalo sauce to give it a bit more zing.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2002
Tried this with leftover turkey...tasted great! I used only half the hot stuff since I have kids...still to hot for younger ones ( they will learn, LOL)! A keeper in my book!

Elaine's Sweet and Tangy Loose Beef BBQ

Reviewed: May 27, 2002
My grandmother has made Beef BBQ this way for over 50 years, she uses bottom round so you can eliminate the fat picking step. She also cooks it on top the stove covered on very low heat, stirring once in awhile, until most of the liquid is gone ( about 3 -4 hours ) and the meat has shreaded by the cooking process.

This was excellent the 1st time I made it, then I added an 1/8 cup Danish Blue Cheese to the recipe and it got even better if you can imagine that possible.

Screaming Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2004
In historical circles we call these "stoved potatoes, or stovies". They are indeed a treat and go well with any meat recipe. They can be "kicked up" for serving with beef by adding a tablespoon of horseradish to the cooking pot. Adding grated onion also adds a kick. Great treat for those who love potatoes.

Amish Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2005
Very Good! Only changes I made were to add 2 cloves of garlic minced ( my family loves garlic ) and used BBQ sauce instead of Ketchup. I will use this recipe again often!

Beef and Pepper Pie

Reviewed: May 7, 2004
I made this following the recipe once, then made some changes... I used fresh Morels for the mushrooms, fresh peppers ( sauted ), more cheese ( mixture of blue and cheddar), and added 2 tbls of dry sherry to the filling. Will make again!

Was good but missing something. I added chopped jalepenos, minced garlic, olive oil, and oregano the second time I made it and it was better. The next time I made it I added cooked sausage and it got even better. Will make again with my changes.

Pot Roast in Beer

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2003
Meat was moist and had good flavor, but it was not out of the ordinary in flavor...sorry but it tasted like a typical roast found at any "good" eatery! It was easy to prepare and everyone ate it all, I will make it again for it's simplicity but it is not one of my favorites.

Proper English Cottage Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2003
Besides the fact that the original cottage pies were made with mutton or lamb this turned out quit well when adding the suggestions from the other reviewers, it otherwise might have been to bland ( I also added my favorite thing to it, hot pepper flakes ). I was not disappointed, the kids were not so thrilled about the taste, but they ate it all.

Chili I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
Was good but needed some changes made. 2nd time I made it I added more Chili powder ( 5 TBLS in total ) and less cocoa powder. Was better that way. Still would recommend it for chilli lovers.

Hunter Style Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2003
OK taste but nothing to write home about. Flavor is standard for this type of dish. More garlic could improve it as well as maybe a marinade in the wine before hand. Over all an OK dish, not something I will make again soon.
