Grilled Chicken Breasts with Zesty Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2004
A lot of work with little reward. The peanut sauce separates out very quickly--you really do have to stand and stir constantly for 15 minutes; even then, the mixture separates out immediately once the stirring stops. In the end, my husband and I both agreed that this recipe just turned out stomachs. If you decide to give it a try, I highly recommend getting out all your ingredients first and reviewing the recipe thoroughly--many of the same ingredients are used for both the marinade and the sauce, so try to save yourself double work.

Grilled Pizza Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2004
Good and versatile--you can play around with what you add, such as broccoli or zucchini and squash. Surprisingly, they're not too bad as leftovers. A reliable recipe to keep for a slight change of pace.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2004
My husband and I loved this dish the first time we made but since have become less enthusiastic about it. It tastes good although it is rich with the amount of cream cheese as specified in the recipe. I think I will need to play around with this recipe to make it one that we will want to keep for a long time to come. I'm welcome to suggestions from others.

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2004
So simple and so good. A very easy dish to make that puts a nice and quick twist to a pork loin. While most things I give 5 stars are out of this world, this one gets 5 stars because of its ease in preparation and its taste--while not extraordinary, it's very good and deserves no "star deduction" simply because it's not unbelievably delicious. I definitely recommend for those who simply would like a new, reliable recipe to add to their collection.

The Wessel Cake

A very rich cake, almost too rich. It was good but not to die for. I'm not sure I would make this again.

Incredibly Delicious Italian Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2004
As I've found with other cakes, this cake tasted better the day after it was baked and iced. The first day it was good, the second day it was SCRUMPTIOUS! The icing was great and its consistency was perfect just by following the recipe.

Outstanding Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: May 18, 2003
Too much time with little reward. The sauce was way too thick. Not sure if this was how it was supposed to be or not...I did use reduced-fat butter in an attempt to cut down on the enormous amount of fat and calories in this recipe. Maybe that was the reason. If not, I would cut down on the flour, but I will not be making this recipe again.

Macadamia Nut Pie

Recipe very quick and simple to make, perfect when pressed for time!! When served warm, this pie didn't do too much for me--just didn't "grab" my tastebuds. When served cold, it's wonderful!

Quiche Lorraine I

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2003
Made this quiche for a baby shower I was hosting. The Mama-to-Be just emailed me asking for the recipe because she just loved it so much!!! I followed the recipe exactly and had no problems. I would wait for it to cool completely before slicing though.

Italian Meatball Sandwich Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2003
This recipe was okay. The mayonnaise made it too "bitter", maybe if we had eliminated that entirely it would have been better. The meatballs themselves were very good...we'd incorporate them into a separate recipe but would not make this one again.

Rushin' Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2003
My husband and I did not enjoy this dish...we couldn't even finish what was on our plates and ended up throwing the rest of it away. I thought the cinnamon, yogurt, and lemon together would be great, but it was just too bitter.

Sugar and Spice Muffins

I made these muffins for my husband and myself. Since there's just the two of us, I decided to freeze some. Unfortunately, they DON'T freeze well. They are good fresh, and I would make them again.
