Quick Chili II

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
I used venison instead since my husband hunts and that's what we have around. Also didn't have tomato sauce around but tomato paste so I googled on how to make sauce out of that . So I only had about 12 oz. of sauce and then added about a 1/2 cup water. Added a can of chili ready diced tomatoes because I love tomatoes in my chili. Also used blackened seasoning since I didn't have cajun, but thought that might be close enough! My husband added about a cup of frozen corn cause he loves corn in his chili! I usually have to put sour cream and cheese in my chili, but now with this recipe!! Delish flavors!!! I ususally make a little more soupier one but since I cut the water down to 1/2 cup it was thick and chucky! I loved it!

Venison Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
AMAZING!!!! I had a group of people coming over last night. Some liked venison, some were okay with it, and some didn't like it at all. They all loved it! Instead of using S&P, I used an Italian seasoning and I also used apple cider vinegar after someone else said they had. I also used quick oats instead of bread crumbs. I made 2 loaves since I doubled the recipe, baked it for 10 minutes longer. The thermometer read 180 (I thought I had burnt it since it was supposed to be around 165) but with all the seasoning and sauce it stayed so moist. You couldn't tell it was venison! This is definitely one of my go to recipes now! Thank you for sharing!

Carnation® Creamy Cheesy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
I used baby yukon gold potatoes and left the skins on. Instead of using a hand mixer my husband, actually, mashed them with potato masher and they turned out delicious! I had my parents over for Christmas Eve dinner and they loved them. Having the leftovers now, and they are just as good if not better!

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
Frostin was amazing!!! Everyone loved these. I loved how easy they were. I read reviews before and I followed the instructions on the temp and baking time since I have a gas oven. I baked at 350. Next time I might bake for 22 minutes. I had alot of frosting left over so next time I'll cut ingredients in half. I also added a whole can of pumpkin for an immense pumpkin flavor and used heaping teaspoons and 1/2 tsp. of spices. These make your home smell so delicious. Defintely a recipe you should make before an open house!
